@jayneil Really liked this episode. I'm hitting a similar wall right now of no realistic sandbox to test prompts, AI responses, and all the interactions around them. This reinforced how badly we need one 😓

This is how Mercury ships products with an extremely high craft bar every single time. Engineering, product and design are all aligned on the same quality levels and benchmarks. So design never has to fight with stakeholders to push for quality. At the start of every project designers rate from 0 to 5 how high they're setting the design bar. Usually pushing for a 4 or 5. And design is empowered to push back on a launch if the quality bar is not met. 👀 Full convo on Sneak Peek: youtu.be/io54c7ddCgw @carolleii shows quality levels and benchmarks for design at @mercury 👇

Mercury's Command is probably the best designed agentic experience out there. Their design team sweats the smallest details. Take agent states for example. Most agentic products just display in plain text that the agent is thinking. But Mercury design team asked a different question. How do you know a human is thinking? Nobody narrates their thoughts. You can just tell from their eyes. So they built the LLM version of that. One shimmering line flipping through what the agent is doing at that moment. 👀 Full convo on Sneak Peek: youtu.be/io54c7ddCgw @carolleii shows her thought process for designing @mercury Command agent states in @figma👇

Made a whole trip out of Config and drove down the PCH on the way back. It was a beautiful weekend :)

Had a really good time at #config this year. This was my second time (first was 2024), still a little awkward but way more comfortable with the venue and format. Also met a few people whose work I've followed and admired from X, and getting face time with them irl was amazing!

It's time for interfaces to break out of flat land. Lately, I have been experimenting with spatial experiences supported by foundational gestures. Truly feels magical.

For years I've been taking selfies of my outfits just to remember what I wore or share with friends. Camera roll: thousands of pictures, zero of them findable. So i built the thing i wanted. Meet Yafa 🧵

Recently an aunt shared her trip via TripCast and I loved the cozy, small group vibe instead of posting to all of social media. So I built my own thing with a map + itinerary that also records how we got around. Used it on our recent Europe trip and husband loved it :)

InterfaceKit is a design tool to make real time visual edits to your app then copy a prompt for your agent to ship the changes. Just pushed the alpha to Interface Craft members; available to everyone soon. Fun to jam with @willdphan on this one 💪

Built this little carousel for my portfolio site. Video demo by default for quick context and you can switch to prototype to try play with it yourself
