For the past couple of days I've been working on an app that translates anything on your screen in real time, and it runs entirely local on your system, no internet needed. It uses a two-step approach: first it extracts text from your screen using an OCR model, then sends that to a translation model and overlays the output right on top of the original text. Still early stage so there are bugs, next steps are squashing those and refining the UX/UI. 👇
