Great news to bring here today! I’ve been discussing X to my direct reality people and finally some of my friends are expressing interest in joining. Wanna know why? They are sick and tired of the algorithm other platforms are using because it’s making their loyal familiar people who follow them are disappearing and replaced with AI garbage.

The majority of my posts reach about .01% of my followers. I think many of us are asking ourselves what we’re doing at this point. We spent years building an audience here, just for our content to be hidden from them. Something needs to change.

@NatashaCL7 Yes, and it needs to be fixed before these dumb add ons like the “dislike” button happens. I fail to see how that ridiculous idea was considered before troubleshooting user experience complaints 😒

@AunySillyMe That's why you see so many people, me included, discouraging DM's. We know that that if somebody DM's us, they didn't read our page and therefore don't really care to know us or what we're about.

My DMs are 90% people asking for something and 10% actual conversations. I miss when DMs felt like making friends, not transactions. Bring back genuine connections.

It feels like the overall experience of social media has dropped significantly in the last few months. It's not unique to this platform, but all of the ones I use. Am I alone in this sentiment?

@ZubyMusic I don’t like saying it but I think you’re accurate. I’d finally found a platform that worked well with what I wanted out of it but has gradually been corrupted from something I’m not entirely sure but I have some guesses

So every time I choose to reply to Elons account a spam bot from his army will follow me…is that how this works? And if it is do these bots reduce my visibility? And if they do then what purpose does this serve? Especially since I don’t kiss his ass, I treat him the same as everyone on here. What’s up?

The demand for AI is going to grow exponentially for a while (if not forever). The supply for AI is going to look a lot more linear in comparison. Scaling atoms is a lot harder than scaling bits. For this reason, the price of compute is going to rise substantially. A lot of electronics will get expensive, and fun toys like image and video generation that are relatively cheap today may become prohibitively expensive. Enjoy it now while you can.

@070guy We should really put this on a beta trial and see how it affects the arrangement of accounts before officially implementing it. My gut tells me this is one of the worst ideas and it’s going to end up causing permanent but hopefully fixable damage I pray and hope I’m wrong 😑

Becoming uninterested in one’s own faulty existence is the number one heartbreak I have for humans. It is the ultimate precursor to an illusion of a full life. When you can’t openly share your story with no omitting of ugly truths then I don’t believe any of us can truthfully say we have a quality of life that adds value

Which flaw bothers you the most? I'm torn between lying and cowardice.
