@MrBoothY6 We are just starting our journey. Just sending out surveys for pupils/staff etc. They are coming to observe our playtime and development meetings in July. I'm curriculum lead (sort of comes hand in hand with my PE and school sports). Looking forward to sharing ideas.

This week we started a project in school to commit to making play and play time as important a part of the curriculum in our school as english, maths, science etc. It's a really exciting project to be leading on and something so different from what I've done in leadership so far.

@DuckGirl20 @dave_mcpartlin And employees. My mum worked for the PO at the time and was £200 down on her till. She was accused of taking it. She refused to pay it back (as she had done nothing wrong), handed in her notice and took early retirement.

@dave_mcpartlin i have been watching it and its sickining the way the postmasters/mistresses were treated but can see how triggering it could be as there are parallels with the po investigators and school inspections

She was an amazing teacher. We giggle about it now mid lesson when she suddenly shouted out ‘let’s all get on a mini bus gang and head to London to watch Talking Heads.’ Hands down she was eccentric but we would have jumped on that bus if school had followed her vision.

I was laughing the other day with a mate about an English A level lit teacher (who was epic) & her enthusiasm about a poem we studied about Bog people. What could that have been? She was so animated all we can remember is her getting so excited she fell over. What was the poem?

I’d never taught using materials like this before I started teaching at a special school, but I wish I’d have known more about them in my prior mainstream settings as some students would have benefited… @sommecourt

Teachers are great. They can teach all day, have parents’ evening until 8pm and then just over 12 hours later be back in front of 30 pupils teaching them again. They will probably mark the books and sort out lesson resources between 8pm and 8am sometime too!

@KateJones_teach @Teacherglitter It took until Year 10 for my daughter to "settle" she suffered so many isolations and exclusions because she couldn't cope with the change each lesson. She now heads into Year11 as a prefect.

My step daughter has just started Year 7. In Year 6 there were 2 teachers & 1 classroom, now in Year 7 there are 21 teachers, 22 classrooms & a 2 week timetable. It's so important form tutors, teachers & Heads of Year are supportive of the transition & challenges. ❤️

@Teacherglitter I miss Leicester holidays. You actually finish quite late. Back in the day it was the end of June.

When people reply they can’t believe we are back in school now and I remember we break up super early, get cheaper holidays and flights and no one is around when we hit tourist spots.
