@SwingingTbone @casualclubguy KIC is adding a new course/neighborhood on their existing land on Johns Island. I’ve also heard around the island the Resort is building a new course out by Oak point, although no official plans have surfaced on that yet

@devoncpowers @casualclubguy What do you mean adding a 3rd soon? Are they building another course?
English

@casualclubguy Spot on. Great place to unwind and play some relaxing golf in warm weather on the resort side, then go get beat up at Ocean. KIC has the best courses and adding a 3rd soon will only make it a more elite haven.

Overall
Kiawah is elite for couples, families, and relaxed golf trips.
This is NOT a “20 dudes and a sack of drugs” spot.
It is not elite for pure golf architecture junkies unless you have private access.
One world-class course carries the reputation.
Overall: 5.5/10 (public only)
7/10 with private access

Escaped the frozen bluegrass and got a loop in at the Creek Course at Hammock Dunes in Palm Coast, FL.
No homes. Lots of inter coastal views on the back. Some generously wide holes and a few very tight squeezes. The modern era layout still has a touch of old world Florida in it.
Course was in great shape and a wonderful chance to get out amidst a long winter back home.

Just stumbled across this on IG and I am SOLD
3 acre wedge facility with trackman, a hangout area, and under the lights. $20/hr seems practically free
I love this. Going to start looking at plots of land to replicate this

Lightbulb! Haven’t posted about this, but my goal is to read 12 golf-related books in 2026 (not instructional). Currently reading The Match with The Greatest Game Ever Played, The Masters, and now An American Caddie in St. Andrews on the list. Would love some more suggestions.

@UESgolf Highly recommend “an American caddie in Saint Andrews” for the list. Quick, entertaining read

@NoLayingUp makes me want to play more golf off the beaten path. In a world of flexing top 100s, I love that they go out of their way to shine a light on hidden gems in a region most notably known for very exclusive golf.

@FlatironFlusher @sneds_brandt I hope this was a kids day camp arts and crafts project

@SethRaynor_ Forest Creek in Pinehurst would be a solid option just under $25k for non-resident. You’d have to fork over another $20k at 40 tho.
English

@devoncpowers Something along the lines of a European model, but under $25k would be great

@sam_golf @slicedpod Dye Preserve out west of Jupiter has a ton of pros on the roster. Even the caddies are some mini tour guys trying to make it. A true players club and elite facilities
English

Admittedly I don’t know how it works with these private clubs in the West Palm area, but you’d think they’d welcome PGA Tour players? Similar experience for Jordan Smith who told us on @slicedpod that area was off the cards as he was going to have to drop £250K to join anywhere!

"I did try and join a couple other (clubs), but kind of got turned away a little bit. I was a little too casual, I think" 🤣 England's Marco Penge (@PengeMarco) won three times on the 2025 @DPWorldTour to earn his first PGA TOUR card, moved to Florida, and will debut as a member this week @FarmersInsOpen. Early returns are that he'll be a fan favorite ⬇️
