The Bengal Business Council (BBC) has proposed a “One State, One License” clearance system and a joint entrepreneurship fund to the Government of West Bengal. The BBC urged the government to introduce a unified licensing system integrating fire, environment, and trade clearances to ease the process for entrepreneurs and small businesses. The organization also proposed the creation of a joint fund between WBGov and the Council to provide seed capital and mentorship to young Bengali entrepreneurs. Founded as a collective of Bengali-led enterprises across sectors, the BBC remains committed to promoting entrepreneurship, investment, and long-term economic growth in Bengal.

Bengal's contribution to world GDP was 12% in the 1700s. Yes, 12%. This is an important day in Indian politics. What kind of incentive are you asking for? Does a child, before birth, ask for incentives? Does the sun ask for incentives before it shines? Does a tree ask for incentives before giving fruits? Does a river ask for incentives before giving water? We, as human beings, work for our country. If we succeed, incentives will naturally follow. A lion is not sure of success before hunting. Still, it must hunt to survive. Asking for incentives before starting work reflects a transactional and western mindset. Such thinking weakens effort and purpose over time. Our Sanatan culture teaches duty first, reward later.
