Ik zeg niet dat je all-in Corn moet gaan. Maar nul blootstelling hebben aan corn vind ik steeds moeilijker te verdedigen. Veel mensen die anti-corn zijn hebben zich er simpelweg nog niet genoeg in verdiept. Want als je het eenmaal ziet, kun je het eigenlijk niet meer ontzien. 🌽🌽🌽

Elke week: • de corn chart • het belangrijkste corn nieuws • macro ontwikkelingen, Fed Chair praatjes die invloed hebben op corn Af en toe kijken we ook naar andere soft commodities (de shitcorns), maar de kern blijft simpel: corn. De meeste mensen begrijpen niet hoe mooi en essentieel product mais is, maar ik wil daar verandering in brengen. Over een tijdje heeft iedereen het op verjaardagen over de corn prijzen en kijken ze jaloersmakend naar je als jij er op tijd bij was en je volkstuintje vol met mais staat. Wie haken er aan en worden luisteraars van het eerste uur?

Het kabinet-Jetten plaatst Nederland onderaan de prioriteitenlijst en zet de afbraak van de afgelopen decennia voort: - Massale immigratie die ons ons thuis ontneemt - Klimaatbeleid dat onze economie ruïneert - Hogere belastingen die de creativiteit uit onze samenleving drukken FVD maakt andere keuzes: keuzes in het Nederlands belang en uit liefde voor ons prachtige land. Dutch exodus: I've been talking with multiple Dutch people considering relocating. Realistically, for 80% it's either UAE or somewhere else in Europe. Latin America is too far for many. My take: UAE is the cleanest exit. 0% income tax, 0% capital gains. Direct flights, massive expat network, world-class infrastructure. And the UAE will keep growing. The second approach is to optimise within Europe. This is what more people actually choose. Many want to stay close to family, don't want the cultural shift; some families simply won't do it. There are plenty of tax-optimised options with good international schools. The first ones that come to mind: 🇨🇾 Cyprus: 0% on foreign dividends, interest & capital gains for 17 years. 60-day rule. Best non-dom regime still standing. 15% corporate tax, plus all considerations from my recent post. 🇲🇹 Malta: evergreen. The non-dom lasts forever. Foreign capital gains always 0%. English-speaking. Though it's a small place, not for everyone. 🇨🇭 Switzerland: no capital gains tax. Lump-sum tax regimes available upon negotiation, for high net worth. Overall, the "stability play." Italy, Greece & Portugal also have special regimes, as you know well since I write about these constantly. Perhaps I'm biased because the people who DM me are already interested in Italy, but I'm surprised how many are considering Italy specifically; not necessarily for the flat tax, but for the 50% income exemption (impatriati regime). What else?

The Netherlands is about to commit financial self-destruction. Their parliament just passed a 36% tax on unrealized gains for investments. This will cause wealthy people to move to another tax jurisdiction. People will avoid launching a new business. Stock market investing will dry up. There is too much downside risk, very little upside potential. The govt is confiscating most of the potential upside, but leaving the investor with the downside risk. The politicians know this, they have discussed it and they are concerned about it. But they did it anyways to close a short term budget gap of roughly $2 billion. As with other countries that attempted a wealth tax, it will likely backfire and result in less tax collected after wealthy people leave. The results will be so negative, the govt will reverse course within a few years. But by then the damage is already done.
