I can’t say I’m over the moon if Russell Martin is appointed. He’s shown to be utterly rigid in his style of play. And his last two jobs ended in failure. Regardless, if he’s to succeed at Leicester then he, or any new boss, needs the tools to rebuild a desperately broken squad.

Think Russell Martin makes sense for Leicester City for so many reasons. Completely understand doubts or concerns. But in League One, he’s a great candidate. Think some of the things I’ve read in the past, last week and today is absolutely wide of the mark. Being against a manager before his appointment, not sure. It’s a chance for him to rebuild his own career whilst attempting to bring City back. Reset of playing squad (many expected to leave) will give him a clean slate. More to come on Martin early next week. #LCFC
