Kids acting out at school are telling us what they want: An escape from the stress and then a connection with a caring adult. The trick is providing both on our terms, not theirs.

All it takes is just one adult to be the difference- no matter your roll from Principal, bus driver, secretary, teacher to custodian or teachers assistant - we all have an opportunity everyday to change the outcome & trajectory for a child - it’s all our responsibility!

Tuesday's incident marks at least the 30th shooting at a K-12 school in 2022. So far in 2022 there have been at least 39 shootings in K-12 schools, colleges and universities.
