@RobertDaleSmith Digital download should be allowed when you own a physical copy but of course that's hard/impossible to verify and manage fairly.

Hot take.. physical media sucks! I don’t want to get a disc out to play a game. There is a reason I got a bunch EverDrives and have in-game-reset mods on every retro console. The collector in me does want physical but it’s just inconvenient and for that reason I have not purchased a physical game since Xbox One’s launch day. What I do hate is paying full price for a game that I don’t actually own. Physical or digital. What we should all be demanding from these big corps is to give players real ownership and the right to play purchased games indefinitely.. across platform generations.

@gamer_lafan None :) Well, I mean a few Game&Watch - then C64 - and then Amiga. Later Playstation 1 but I wasn't really a kid at that time ... and I didn't really buy any games for it. Nostalgia for me is 2D only. I guess consoles just weren't really a thing in our neighbourhood.
