@NolteNC It's not the fault of Gen Z they're spoiled resentful ungrateful misfits - their parents did it to them.

Dear Gen Z: It took ten years -- TEN -- of scrimping, saving, sometimes working two jobs, taking some risks, and overcoming setbacks for my wife and me to save enough to buy a house -- a starter house, a gut job we gutted and remodeled ourselves over two years. No inheritance from anyone. No financial help from anyone. No college degrees. We paid for our own wedding and honeymoon. When we first got together, it was in a crummy apartment in Milwaukee's ghetto with two used cars that quickly turned into one. Yeah, we wanted a house NOW, and we wanted a NICE house, but we weren't babies. We thought in years and decades -- of retirement -- not month-to-month or day-to-day pleasures. And guess what? Those ten years without restaurants and fancy vacations; those ten years of brown-bagging and driving to and from work together; those ten years of a payday pizza being a treat and grilling out and the dollar movie theater and the $4 bleacher seats and the $10 per carload drive-in...? They were wonderful years. We were young, the world was young, we were on a quest, and it was just the two of us. Stop your entitled whining. Wipe your tears. Put your head down. Make it happen. This is America. XXOO, Gen-X

Tonight, ICE law enforcement officers were assaulted by anti-ICE rioters who sprayed law enforcement with an unknown chemical substance. Two individuals were arrested for assaulting, resisting, and impeding federal officers.   Assaulting and obstructing ICE law enforcement is a crime and felony. Anyone who assaults law enforcement will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Wild that Senate Republicans left town without funding ICE, as promised, and then the Democrats immediately storm an ICE facility (again). They should come back and fund ICE, no gimmicks. It's been too long already.

@robbystarbuck The Internet (1995-ish?) changed everything. Everyone realized they no longer were restricted to their neighborhood looking for companionship.

Iran will pose a direct threat to the US at the earliest possible moment after it is able to do so via the development of a nuke and a delivery system for that nuke. Do we just stand by and wait?
Mister Solitude@AdvaitaEyes

@shipwreckedcrew Iran poses no threat to the US. Iran poses what Netanyahu called "an existential threat" to Israel. We clasped hands with Israel to bomb Iran to the benefit of Israel, not the US. Avoid the temptation to conflate what benefits Israel with what benefits the US. Remember Gaza.

Chicago police just arrested a citizen for cleaning up trash in his own community alleys and streets. His group regularly does the job the city refuses to do. This man and his organization go out and clean public spaces that local government ignores. Instead of thanking him they slapped cuffs on him. Why? Because Chicago has fat contracts with private companies that get paid to do nothing.

It takes no talent to be a negative person or complainer. Complaining is what I did plenty of in the first few weeks of my deployment to Afghanistan, 2010-11. My dad was a 3 time veteran of Vietnam, at home dying of cancer. One night he sat down to set me in the right direction, then put this in the mail. A few weeks later I received it and consider the letter my most valued possession today. Dad died 2 months later but this lesson remains a guiding light. Be part of the solution and remember others are watching.

Well, Tamie … your ignorance is showing. We’ve all seen those same videos, ad nauseam. What YOU haven’t seen are the people around those handful of violent individuals who tried to stop them … over and over again. You’ve only seen what you want to see. What they want you to see. Over and over again … until that’s all you know and all you believe.

MY INTERIM TAKE ON THE IRAN NEGOTIATIONS I still haven’t seen the final outlines of this alleged deal, but what I have seen (after the initial panic) is not the utter disaster that people were talking about – or that they’re currently characterizing the deal as. As I warned everybody yesterday, the initial reports were gonna be wrong. And apparently they are. So, I’m not taking seriously those people who are characterizing this as an utter surrender or “Trump is a taco!” or whatever other idiotic claim they toss out there. None of them has seen the final deal, and most of them would be pissing themselves no matter what Trump did. A lot of the stuff I’m hearing is just stupid. We devastated their military and industrial capacity. They can’t build a bomb right now. That is reality, and anyone who doesn’t lead with that is trying to lead you astray. If you think Trump, Rubio, and the rest are going to allow themselves to be humiliated, you haven’t been watching for the last decade. Is there anyone out there who seriously thinks Trump doesn’t understand what capitulation would be and what it would mean, and yet would do it? Why would he do it? Because of Trump’s inherent badness? That’s not serious – that’s the reasoning of a child, not a strategist. Here’s the test. What’s their alternative? Not having done it at all and leaving around with an active military/nuclear complex? A full scale invasion? What’s the plan that leads to a result as good as this or better? Cue the tumbleweeds. Calm down. Chill out. Many people want America to be defeated for various reasons, all of them bad. I don’t think it’s gonna happen.

Democrats NEED to call Republicans “Nazis,” and the inverse is not true because it’s unnecessary. I’ll explain. Republicans freed the slaves. Republicans won the Civil War and magnanimously reconciled with the losing Democrats even though they did not need to. Republicans passed the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments. Republicans gave women the vote. Republicans desegregated the federal workforce. Republicans ended Jim Crow. Republicans passed the Civil Rights Acts. Republicans have been zealous defenders of 1st and 2nd Amendment rights. Against such a stellar historical track record of promoting freedom and personal liberty, Democrats NEED to call Republicans “Nazis” to obscure the truth of who the bad guys actually are. Democrats, OTOH, built a party based almost exclusively on slavery and racism. Democrats initiated and fought a bloody Civil War that killed ~700,000 Americans. Democrats instituted Jim Crow. Democrats popularized lynching. Democrats opposed the post-Civil War Amendments and all of the Civil Rights Acts. Democrats denied the vote to women. Democrats re-segregated the federal work force. Democrats invented and staffed the KKK. Democrats have always fought for a racialized society. Democrats re-racialized society in the 21st Century. Democrats invented abortion as a tool of eugenics. Democrats killed ~66,000,000 babies since 1973 thanks to Roe v. Wade. Democrats hate the 2nd Amendment. Democrats hate the 1st Amendment when free speech, freedom of assembly or freedom of religion challenge them. Democrats have embraced Marxism and jihad. Republicans do not need to call Democrats “Nazis” because calling them “Democrats” is horrific enough. Explained.
