SSPX obeys. Their hand missal contains the new "rules" for the "fast", for example, and they don't try to bind to more. They just don't when they think obeying would be sin. Surely we all agree that, at least theoretically, the pope can command a wrong? That is the SSPX issue.

You may agree or disagree with how the SSPX is dealing with the crisis. But if you say there is no crisis, you make it impossible to take you seriously.

It's a confusing and difficult age. During the great Western schism, many were confused. Some backed the wrong pope---including St Vincent Ferrer. Our age is at least as difficult. Have compassion for those who, in the chaos, choose a different path, even if it's wrong.

@USBishopsData Shatter the liturgy. Abandon the universal language of the Church. Shred the liturgical calendar. Demand obedience to your every whim. Call it unity.

I am in my mid-forties. Vatican II ended a decade and a half (ish) before I was born. If, after all that time, Vatican II still needs to be "clarified", can we finally admit that, even if not outright heretical, it's a uniquely poor expression of the Catholic faith?
