Dear @IndiGo6E, it's disappointing that there was zero empathy for a passenger travelling due to his mother's serious medical condition. I understand policies, but where is the humanity? Interestingly, passengers are expected to follow timings strictly.

However, we wish to inform you that our check-in counter closes 60 minutes prior and boarding gate 25 minutes prior to the departure time of the flight. As checked, you reported late at the gates hence, our team was unable to accept you on that flight. Mr Kumar, we completely understand your concern and sincerely regret the disappointment caused. We truly wish we could have assisted you differently. However, please be informed that our check-in counters close 60 minutes prior to departure, while boarding gates close 25 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Upon checking, we found that you reported to the check-in counter 41 minutes before departure, which was beyond the stipulated check-in cutoff time. As a result, our airport team was unable to accept you for the flight. We understand how disappointing this must have been and sincerely appreciate your understanding. ~Ganesh

I am extremely disappointed with my experience today. I arrived at the airport just around 10 minutes after the check-in counter had closed for my flight 6E 6485 (Patna to Chandigarh, 13 July 2026, PNR: S3VGPB).
