The @Chiefs just got an INSTINCTIVE SHUTDOWN CORNER in Mansoor Delane out of LSU. His 4.38 40 erased all speed questions and he reads routes like Google Maps. K-State would be wise to pay Tang’s buyout money and avoid this. From covering KU’s unsuccessful attempt to do this to David Beaty, there were no winners in the end except both sides’ lawyers.

Update: Jerome Tang has retained Tom Mars and Bennett Speyer in the case of his firing for cause. Mars told ESPN: “If K-State’s President and AD really think the school was embarrassed by recent events, that’s nothing compared to the embarrassment that both of them are about to experience.”

Kansas State firing Jerome Tang “for cause” over a recent rant is gross and flat-out ridiculous. Schools have tried shady buyout tricks before, but what Gene Taylor offered today takes the cake. Taylor should resign immediately and Tang should be paid every penny he’s owed. This is as unethical as it gets. @CoachJTang @KStateMBB
