The Staggerwing only looks better with age, much like a fine wine. First flown in the 1930s, its design still feels strikingly modern today. This particular one is a 1946 G17S, a rare postwar version of the Staggerwing, which has a streamlined, stretched pressure cowling with cowl flaps, a larger vertical fin, and a more sharply raked windscreen.
