I’ve seen lots of VCs make founders take personality tests. Never seen or heard it be a successful investment strategy. A way better and more determinative test would be do a 20min workout with them. But most VCs won’t do that since since they’d be exposed. All hat no cattle.

@Ben_Invests @WillManidis You can say the same about middle & long distance running (although I’d argue there is some learned skill still). Rowing just happens to not be accessible to most people in middle/lower socioeconomic status. Being willing to tolerate pain AND being born on 3rd base improves odds

@WillManidis Easy, because rowing is physically and mentally more difficult. You need virtually no skill and just need to be able to suffer more than the next person

has any sport produced more successful business people/asset managers than rowing? what explains the out performance of elite rowers compared to say baseball?
