Absolutely no complaints from me for how Frank has set up today. I love it. It has been a while since I have actually liked a Tottenham lineup. Biggest worry is obviously Spence holding width in possession, big big task especially with no winger.

@InvertTheWing Mate, you are a realist. Made me believe VDV is better than Romero as per the roles in our defence. Same goes with Porro, a defensive liability but a good attacking threat still not performing at his average level.

Start of last season, they called me hyperbolic and overly positive. In the summer, they called me negative. The sooner they come to terms that I am simply a realist, the better.

I will probably analyse Tottenham again soon. It feels Tottenham fans are beginning to warm up to me again, and realise I was right all along. My opinions regarding Pedro Porro, Dejan Kulusevski, Cristian Romero. All coming into fruition. They just could not handle I was critical of their favourites, or gave praise to the scapegoats. Instead, they resorted to giving me abuse, threatening to mass report my account. But time will always win. It always does.

I think Postecoglou’s biggest weakness this season has been not his tactics, but his empathy. After Jurgen Klopp and Carlo Ancelotti, Ange Postecoglou is the best man manager in the game. But it is also his downfall. He will keep picking mediocre players to keep the players happy. This compromises the quality of how Tottenham’s games play out. And I get it, it is his first season. He cannot risk losing the dressing room. The likes of Emerson and Richarlison are key players. But this summer should see departures and additions of depth players much more suited to his style. It is in Daniel Levy’s ballpark. Does he see depth options like Emerson and think the quality of football is acceptable? No.

Last time Guardiola played Postecoglou. Manchester City were starting Leroy Sane, Raheem Sterling, Bernardo Silva, Rodri, David Silva, Kevin De Bruyne, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Aymeric Laporte, John Stones and Kyle Walker. Ange Postecoglou still dominated possession, and had almost as many shots. Imagine what he can do with a significantly stronger team.
