@mcpipita @msabaha8194904 It is not that your politicians don't care about you. It was probably a guy with a high school diploma who thought he just made easy money taking some 'waste', that is why he charged so little.

A decision made in the 70s in a golf club in New York caused this. See some executives wanted to dump some radioactive waste. This waste doesn't decompose like your traditional compost. It has a half life that keeps changing and is highly carcinogenic The execs approach various people and finally end up approaching a Kenyan politician who agreed to a 50k USD bribe. In return they were to send the waste into Chalbi desert. The bribe was so little that the execs didn't even go for a board meeting to approve it. They agreed to pay right there over a round of golf. Back in Kenya the politicians didn't inform the citizenry of what was to happen. The residents of the are just saw heavily protected guys dumping some stuff in the ground covered in tarp. In North Eastern Kenya, houses are mostly makeshift since they're pastoralists. They see this tarp as a good cover to their manyattas and they start digging up the waste and taking the protective paper. This had near instant repercussions. People started to fall Ill and soon that waste found its way downstream to Meru. If you look at the prevalence rate of cancer along that waterway you'll understand that politician's don't care about their own people
IVY@ivymuthe

Someone said For the last 3 months Out of 100 funerals in Meru he has attended 80 were caused by cancer. What is happening in Meru?

@BETFUSE1 @PalmerErrandboy Every generational player has had a great coach. That is the only thing holding Palmer back. Who was Iniesta and Xavi before Pep? Who was KDB before Pep? Even Lampard had his best years under Mourinho.

🚨Spain Coach Luis de la Fuente on Barcelona asking Spain NOT to play Lamine Yamal vs Egypt following Raphinha's injury with Brazil: “Haha… Look, I have huge respect for clubs. Huge. But when Lamine puts on this red shirt with the 19 on the back? He’s not a Barcelona player anymore. He’s Spanish. Full stop. They’re ‘very upset’? Good. Let them be upset. We’re building a national team here, not running a La Masia babysitting service. Raphinha gets injured and suddenly they want us to bench our best young attacker so their squad doesn’t suffer? That’s not how football works, my friend. Lamine is fit. Lamine is hungry. Lamine is going to play the full 90… and every minute we need him. If Barcelona can’t manage their own players without crying to the national team every five minutes, that’s on them. Not on me. Not on Spain. Spain first. Always.”

@ademir2z A lot of these players we idolised from the past are just media darlings. The only ones I accept are those whose clips they can show us. You watch a clip of Zidane and wonder how he gets mentioned more than a player like Lampard.

Zidane’s a player where I have a strong opinion so different to most people that I sometimes doubt myself so I often watch clips like this when people post them. He doesn’t create one clear cut chance in this game.

@JuanHeart2016 At that young age, your hunger has more to do with how you turn out, not your club. He probably was home sick and trained less. Brazilians are like that. Chelsea has had a couple of them fail at the academy.

So nobody is talking about how BlueCo are spoi!ling the career of these young player? Chelsea signed this young lad Deivid Washington from Santos for €20Million.💶🇧🇷 He have been with the blues for 3 years and since that 3 years, he have been playing for Chelsea U-21 team. Though he managed to make 3 appearance for Chelsea senior team under Poch or so…were he only played for 25 minutes in all. So in search for playing time and to recover his past form and glory, he was sent back to Santos on loan. He even struggled there while scoring only 1 goal in 20 matches.💔 Now can you imagine the amount of money they lavished on a small lad like this!!! Now I ask, what kind of investment can you call this right now? This is just a waste of money... And I can attest that Todd and co k*ll this boys career. They really stopped his progress. This boy was one of the young prospect in Brazil before, but he entered into the wrong hands of BlueCo.

@garyalsmith I have read through the comments, and I can't tell what argument you are trying to make. Are you blaming CAF for politicians' inability to develop their countries? Are you recommending they reduce the number of participating teams to 16 or 14?

CAF has 54 members. 28 (more than half) will qualify for an AFCON. Please tell me: what is the point of qualifiers? Where is the prestige in qualifying? And, the big one: how many African nations can host a 28-team AFCON? Dr Motsepe must know something we don't.

@garyalsmith @LungzHimself Isn't joint hosting an option? As for the number of countries that participate, it makes sense because more countries need these competitions for their football development, and CAF also needs the large revenue.

@LungzHimself Oh, great. So, we should allow these 6 countries you've listed to host the next 6 AFCONs, right? Fantastic idea! After those 6 AFCONs, then we let the same 6 host again, right? Wonderful!

@YourPrimePath I have an uncle who, in his 50s, decided to live away from his wife. They aren't divorced. He just wants a whole house to himself. If she needs anything, she calls. Now he is retired and says it is the best decision of his life.

Getting married sounds stupid as fuck until you see a single man in his 60s Go home alone, read a book, only one light on in the house, no goofy kids visiting for the holidays Suddenly a dumb argument with a pleasantly plump aging wife twice a week doesn't seem so bad

My 36-year-old ex babe is still a feminist. She's been one since her 20s. Last year we got into an argument because she was telling me how she needed a husband badly. I told her to "pretend" to drop feminism for a bit because no man wants to marry a lunatic. She hasn't spoken to me till today and she's still online posting meaningless feminism bullshit. 😅 "I know my rights I'm independent all men are trash women can do without men I can never accept nonsense from a man", while seeking marriage is wild. Proper lunatics.

@ekwufinance This video is funny: it starts with the daughter panicking while her father reassures everyone that they're safe. But the moment the avalanche hits, he abandons them in a heartbeat, leaving the mother to pick up their son who has fallen down.

This is a perfect illustration of how we perceive the Hormuz risk. Everyone is seeing the avalanche coming, yet everyone thinks that somehow it is under control... it isn’t. There is no plan. No alternative routes that can scale fast enough... Hormuz opened or closed is all that matters. The current avalanche is so big and dangerous that markets think this will resolve quickly due to the heavy economic costs... it won’t. One month in, we hear reports that this operation might take from a few weeks to six months, to years... the avalanche will hit much earlier Within a few weeks: - Taiwan runs out of LNG -> no AI - Fertilizer supplies are getting decimated -> no food - Japan, Europe, Australia run out of diesel The only thing keeping markets afloat is an unreasonably high amount of hopium... once it's gone, expect a violent rerating

@dieworkwear Manoshpere values are not virtues. They are trying to direct men on how to take back power that they have lost by beating an unfair system. Example, men can no longer have stable families because of exploitative divorce laws. So they win by having more sex.

it's hard for me to identify masculine virtues that i don't think are just general virtues, such as courage, integrity, and temperance. manosphere virtues seem to revolve around physical strength, money, and sex. these are rooted in narcissism, which is not a virtue
Rory Sutherland@rorysutherland

All manosphere influencers seem to think they have worked out masculinity from first principles, free of social norms. But if you transplanted them to the last century, people would have assumed they were bizarrely vain. You didn't see DI Burnside on The Bill going to a gym unless it was to arrest the proprietor.

@alukyi Power wins over fairness. The US is applying pressure, and Ghana doesn't have the political will or interest to stop it. Those who support it are not interested in the legal standing, but they want to make an example out of Abu.

I have a question. Looking at this case, the whole government is bent of extraditing him to prove they do not condone internet fraud. In this case, is there really any judge anywhere that could stop this extradition? Because I feel there’re so many powerful people influencing the judge’s decision and regardless or what you submit, they already have their mind made up. How do we ensure the court is 100% independent and truly fair? In the US, a judge can even rule against the president. In Ghana, i doubt any judge would dare do that. How’s the court actually fair in it’s cases, I’m really confused on how fairness is ensured in Ghanaian courts.

Let’s Talk Abu Trica. 1. Abu Trica was set up by an FBI informant who approached him saying that he was expecting some 50,000 dollars. And that Abu Trica should help find a bank account for them to transfer the money into. 2. His share would be 13,000 dollars if he found an account. 3. Abu Trica went around asking different people because he thought he was making 13,000 dollars. 4. Someone gave him an account which he gave to the FBI undercover agents. 5. And he was paid 13,000 dollars. 6. This is the entire evidence the FBI provided. When Abu was arrested, the FBI came to him to give them the name of the person whose account it was. 7. Abu didn’t. Before the matter went to court, they had EOCO Issue a press statement claiming that Abu had scammed people of 8 million dollars. 8. There is no 8 million usd anywhere. We are here because of 13,000 dollars. 9. Now Abu was charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud. 10. We presented the magistrate with 80 pages of legal argument, tracing the history of the Extradition Treaty, showing that the offence of conspiracy is not an extraditable offence. 11. Now, the matter is under appeal, so I won’t say more than that. Except that in my whole life I have never met a judge so eager to extradite a person before. Complete refusal to follow due process. Her mind was made up, from day 1. 12. The truth is Out of 200 requests Ghanaian has received, all 200 have been extradited by our courts. 200-0 oo. 13. If our Courts are willing to follow the law, not be afraid of America; Abu’s case will be 200-1. Shalom
