I was talking to one of my professors from Ghana about doing research in his lab on climate change in African countries and out of nowhere he goes, “ I don’t mean to be intrusive, but are you Black?” 😭💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔

@DavidHundeyin Doesn’t Ghana has (a) US military base(s) ? @JDMahama coming to power was a hope as a direct expansion of the AES but still no common diplomacy, not even a draft, no mutual understanding/agreement on resources. Start with the basics

Africa must economically and diplomatically isolate Nigeria and any other willing US vassal state. They are going to be the staging points of the coming recolonisation war Rubio is describing in plain English here. Ignore speakers of English word salad and do the needful.
The Spearhead@Spearhead_Af

The New Berlin Conference Is Already Happening While Ghanaian President John Mahama is galvanising support from African Union member states to demand that the transatlantic slave trade be recognised as the gravest crime in human history, the United States is simultaneously galvanising support from Europe to recolonise Africa all over again. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s speech at the Munich Security Conference in Germany resembled a modern-day Berlin Conference, where Western imperial leaders gathered to plan how to recolonise the Global South. Today, the West’s sense of entitlement to the land, resources, and economies of the Global South is brazen and unapologetic. On January 3, 2026, the United States invaded the sovereign country of Venezuela and abducted its president, Nicolás Maduro, and his wife, Cilia Flores, under the guise of drug trafficking. On December 25, 2025, the U.S. launched an airstrike in north-west Nigeria, allegedly targeting terrorists persecuting Christians in the region. More recently, it deployed about 200 military personnel to “train the Nigerian army.” The United States is already leading the recolonisation process through its actions in Venezuela and Nigeria. It has openly admitted that it will no longer place the “so-called global order” above the vital interests of its people and nation. Africa must wake up. These developments signal a shifting global order in which imperialism is exercised more openly and with fewer diplomatic disguises. Whether presented as security cooperation, counterterrorism, or strategic partnership, the West does not respect our sovereignty and independence. The time for dilly-dallying has long passed. We must step up, boldly take our place on the global stage, and defend our nations and sovereignty. The West only understands violence and defiance. To protect our sovereignty and independence, we must demonstrate the same confidence and audacity as the Global North in safeguarding territorial integrity. The Alliance of Sahel States, AES, is charting a course for its member states, Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger. They have demonstrated that nations can take control of their security partnerships, natural resources, and monetary and diplomatic decisions. The rest of the continent must follow in their footsteps to protect and defend its sovereignty. More than ever, the Global South cannot afford to interpret current events emotionally. It must prioritise its long-term interests, vulnerabilities, and people. Sovereignty is not defended by talk alone, but through strategic continental economic resilience, security coordination, and political unity.

@stsqit @carlosdponx A robotic hackaton should take at least a whole 48h non stop. A simple pick and place ACT could require less, but if we want real projects to emerge even with LeRobot 48h is the minimum

Random insights from the physical AI hackathon this weekend: - Nearly all projects were pick and place or cup pouring tasks, mostly using SO-101 - Some teams used SmolVLA, most used ACT, with many reporting they just couldn’t get performance out of SmolVLA - Only one team attempted to do anything with a humanoid really, and it didn’t really work out - Very young crowd, cool to see even a 5th grader able to train models! I think a big reason for the lack of variability in projects comes down to 24 hrs not being long enough for a robotics hackathon. You just need more time to do anything really interesting, especially if your iteration loop involves training a model.
