@stivevans @rugby_ap Exactly, but then you get all the debates after the game. Just clean up the laws so everyone is aware of what is allowable. Because what is allowed now bears no resemblance to the law book, or what is allowed just below the pro game.

Beirne, Porter and Nash not cited. For me: Nash yellow was correct. Mitigation there for a drop in height. So doesn’t meet the threshold. Beirne should have seen yellow on the day but only red cards meet the citing threshold. Can understand how he has gone uncited but still see his action as reckless. Porter I think was fine. Dynamic situation. It’s Beirne’s job to arrive up and through the gate.

@stivevans @rugby_ap 'really dynamic' = mostly illegal. I don't disagree it creates quick ball, a quick game and an awesome spectacle. But change the laws to reflect. The stuff they do around the breakdown is innovative, but highly questionable under current laws.

@rugby_ap One of the ways Ireland create such quick ball is with really dynamic clear outs. Many I believe are borderline legal at best but as long as they get away with it they will quite rightly continue. I stress I don't think there is any intention to injure though it is a consequence

@RobertEVoicu @MenTourPilot Pilots make errors. Fact. If they make errors that they are responsible for (stayed out partying, didn't get enough sleep, were intoxicated) then they should rightly be held accountable. They may have made an error because of factors out with their control. Hence investigations.

@MenTourPilot Of course you’re being subjective here given the fact that you’re a pilot. Basically what you’re saying is that the pilot cannot be wrong ever, which, unfortunately got proved being wrong by the reality.

To follow up on my previous post, THIS is how a fundamental lack of understanding of aviation safety-work becomes dangerous. Populists always tout easy answers to complex questions and it’s the scourge of our time. You can blame everything on pilot error, the question is WHY?!
