All three men are in the same dock at Liverpool crown court. Prosecutor tells the court that Derek Drummond was filmed punching an officer in the face, shouting "shithouses," before later throwing bricks at officers.

BREAKING: Heavy sentences being handed out to rioters. Derek Drummond, 58, of Pool Street, Southport, has just been sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court to three years in prison after he admitted violent disorder and assaulting an emergency worker in Southport last Tuesday night.

@dickymoo @PaulBrandITV There is nothing peaceful about making people miss hospital appointments, delaying ambulances, etc. They may not use rioting or initial violence but the consequences can be the same, or worst. But BOTH should have the full weight of the law thrown at them.
