@did0f What’s your GitHub one more time haven’t checked what you’ve been building so far
English

@josh_nickie1 Josh I mostly have everything private. But I’m working right now on something a may open source about esp32

It’s 1am. I’m alone at the @HackerResidency villa, 11 hours non-stop grinding for the Product Hunt launch of @owndotpage.
I am still at #2, and the gap hasn’t moved much.
Honestly, I’ve never received this much support before, and I’m so grateful for every single person who showed up today.
One final push would mean a lot. If you can support me, now would be the perfect moment ❤️

Thank you all for the insane support so far 🤩 @owndotpage is currently #2 on Product Hunt - the gap to #1 is still big, but I believe we can close it! Would really appreciate your support to help us push it to the top 🚀 Also huge shoutout to my hunter @byalexai - thank you for the support, advice, and all the launch tips. If you’re launching there, go hit him up. He’s amazing! Can we do this?

I mean, you can do everything in principle. My suggestion, for your first drone is buy one already assembled, a tinywhoop, start playing with it, with the PID, with the firmware (betaflight), with the radio, with the video transmission. Once you get familiar with those concepts move on a home made one😁
English

@mfranz_on Look I have here two esp32s3 and various junk. I want to make something that flies.
Is that achievable by assembling all pieces by myself or do you suggest to simply buy the drone and put my software on it?
English

@did0f Never thought about it. But I am developing this Droniny app which is like the Circuitiny app but specifically for drones in which I would make the recipes to build some drones with the help of an agent to guide the user in the process
English

@did0f Ahaha bro I crashed my drones soo many times that I needed some basic skills to fix them quickly. I think that was a good training ahahah
English

@did0f Testing depth will reveal edge cases, demo will showcase flow.

Finally fixed something about Velocaption Silence Remover that always bothered me.
If you need the player to automatically jump of silences (red below in timeline), you can’t use a simple video.
Try to programmatically change its seekTime to 1s, then 1.3s and again 2.6s. It lags.
‘Cause HTML5Video tag’s buffer is handled by the browser. You don’t even get to manage its garbage collection. It becomes a problem when your system may have to jump over hundreds of frequent cuts.
In current version, the editor uses a Media Pool where video tags are pre-mounted in background and switched at the right moment; they can be reuse, which helps with keeping low RAM usage. But it would still lag a bit.
In the next days I'll release what Codex aced - imitate Final Cut Pro. Encode in background low resolution proxies with the silences already out.
No seek change, no problem.

English

@sir4K_zen They do :) I’ll take a day or two to test it deeply before releasing.
But today’s release is already packed with stuff. I think it’s time to record a 2 minute demo of the current state of velocaption
English

@did0f Nice fix, those background proxies should smooth the jumps
English

@ivanibash Yeah ahaha sometimes it tells to himself how good it is

Ok there is a bug about ChatGPT that imho needs to be fixed asap.
Please help me understand if it is only to me or happens also to you.
Just click the voice read of any message. Stop it. Restart it. Do it 2-3 times.
You won’t hear audio anymore, the app seems to freeze. You actually start to hear little sound cracks (scary!)
Again, maybe it’s happening only to me for some reason.
My 2 cents (just thought, no checks made): maybe AudioContext doesn’t get properly handled when stopping and resuming?
Could it be recreating new audios for every resume and since they live in RAM it cracks. I don’t think it is possible, but will profile later

@VanpeltVentures @virgilerietsch Absolutely fair. I am doing it now because it is the right thing in this moment of my life.
But I well know that I may wake up one day and focus on something else. For now it works out
English

@virgilerietsch @did0f Content creation as an education medium is surely easier but also it’s a job not something I’ll enjoying doing all my life compared to just having fun and flooding people with good vibes !
I’m planning to make vlogs also with her ! I am working on our first video right now !

I recorded 1 vertical video per day for 24 days. 358,000 views.
posted daily on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts since May 2.
Instagram: 192,849 views
TikTok: 124,735 views
YouTube Shorts: 40,524 views
what I learned:
the hook is everything. you have 3 seconds. if your intro sounds like a lecture, they're gone. ask a question, drop a number, or say something people are thinking but won't say out loud.
tutorials beat opinions. every time I showed a concrete tool and explained how it works in 30 seconds, views went 3 to 10x compared to me just sharing my take.
consistency compounds. week 1, my videos were getting 400 to 1,000 views. week 3, a single one hit 58,000. people come back for the new video but watch the old ones too.
how I keep up the pace:
every evening I pick a topic. I script with a few Claude Code skills. I record in 10 minutes. BlitzReels handles editing, captions, and multi-platform export. I publish.
