Why is there a problem with electronic ID? Only curious as don’t understand not looking for an argument. We’ve had it for years I can view all my medical history etc we’ve also had a physical ID for ever, can even travel within the EU with no passport.

@lost_alkhemist @scubaman2010 We can sign government documents etc and access services - as I say though think I’ve looked at it once in 5 years

@diddlydids I think the fear is what could happen in a surveillance state, ie China’s social credit system.

@Bankersbonus1 @LizziejackLiz We can have all medical details, tax whatever and we can access government services, no one has ever had a problem here (malta) don’t use mine much tbh but it’s there if I want to.

@diddlydids Not take proper care of it - people fear they would be hacked/published or sold to someone like Palantir or insurance companies.
