Why keep its experts in the Middle East to help virulently anti-Ukrainians? 2. The Iranian war is not top of mind for Europeans, it is not an existential threat on the order of Russia's ongoing war in Ukraine. Why further alienate the EU to support an avowed enemy of Ukraine? 3. The countries in the EU most worried about the Russian invasion, the CEE, have also been the strongest supporters of Israel. Why alienate them? Will they support Israel the next time there is an anti-Israel resolution in the UN? Or will they abstain? This was a completely unnecessary move by Netanyahu.
