None of them can match the absolutely top notch constructive approach—from scratch—delivered in phenomenal two volumes book of Terence Tao! If you are looking for a substitute with even greater breadth & depth, then there is no alternative to Russian masterpiece—Vladimir Zorich!

Last year, I met a Mexican athlete who told me an incredible story—that he’d been kidnapped in 2023 and forced to compete for his life in a secret tournament of cartels. Once I started reporting, the story only got more surreal. For the May issue: theatlantic.com/magazine/2026/…

🚨 Do you understand what happened in the last 24 hours? > Zuckerberg killed the Metaverse after burning $80 billion on cartoon avatars nobody used > Sam Altman took $13 billion from Microsoft then sold OpenAI's cloud to Amazon for $50 billion.. Microsoft just found out they funded their own competition > Anthropic made an AI that takes orders from your phone and does your work while you sleep.. > X dropped a dislike button AND a mute-entire-countries button in the same week.. > YouTube asking you to flag AI slop is just Google getting 2 billion people to train their next model for free > 93% of US jobs can now be partly done by AI.. Same week companies started giving the weakest raises since 2008 > Apple started rejecting vibe-coded apps from the App Store > xAI is paying Wall Street bankers $100/hour to teach Grok how to replace Wall Street bankers.. They're taking the money.. > A mystery AI model appeared on benchmarks beating everything.. Developers think DeepSeek is quietly testing their next weapon > Bloomberg asked "Is the AI bubble about to burst" the same day Nvidia said the chip market will hit $1 trillion.. One of them is dead wrong.. > The UK government backed down on AI copyright after artists revolted.. First government to flinch > The Fed said rate hikes are back on the table and blamed AI data centers for making inflation worse And it's only Wednesday. See you tomorrow. It'll be worse. If you're not following me you're finding out about this stuff 48 hours late from someone who read my post

🚨 Do you understand what happened in the last 24 hours? > A Chinese lab made AI 25% cheaper and gave it away for free. OpenAI charges you $200/month for worse. > A robot got arrested in China. Not shut down.. Arrested... Catching charges before GTA 6 dropped. > JPMorgan told Meta to fire 20% of staff.. Meta did it that night.. The stock went UP but 14,000 people lost their jobs and Wall Street clapped. > Elon poached the engineers who built Cursor and said SpaceX will "far exceed" everyone in AI.. > xAI is paying Wall Street bankers to teach AI how to replace Wall Street bankers... They're taking the money. 💀 > Jensen said Nvidia will hit $1 TRILLION in revenue by 2027.. Lost $600B in January and recovered in two weeks.. Then named his price. > OpenAI gave AI agents the power to spawn OTHER AI agents.. The AI now hires its own employees. > Manus put a full AI agent on your desktop.. Every $15/month SaaS tool just became obsolete. > An AI CMO launched that replaces your entire marketing team for $99/month. Your social media manager, SEO guy, content writer - all of them for $99. > Nvidia launched DLSS 5 - AI that upgrades your game graphics in real time to worse And it's only Monday. See you tomorrow. It'll be worse.

I made a skill for PDF reading optimized for academic articles, including tables. As a test case, I ran it on Acemoglu Johnson Robinson (2001). You can see the benchmark results here: github.com/aniketpanjwani… Under the hood - it uses IBM's docling with various optimizations/tweaks for tables (you can see all the tables here): github.com/aniketpanjwani… > thx @EconTraina for docling recommendation You can install it from my skills repository - github.com/aniketpanjwani… - which also includes a Python Learning Skill (x.com/aniketapanjwan…) and has various install instructions Or just point CC/Codex at github.com/aniketpanjwani… and ask it "install this skill" I've got several ideas of how to improve the skill, but feel free to submit a Github issue and/or PRs with improvements.

cloudflare spent years fighting scrapers and selling anti-bot protection now they launched a /crawl API that can scrape an entire website with one request >send a single API call >cloudflare renders the page for you >returns the content as HTML, Markdown, or JSON >extracts links and page elements automatically >no browser automation, no scraping scripts The same company that built half the internet’s anti-scraping infrastructure just made scraping easier AI companies are going to love this

SO SATISFYING. Used to have 4500 unread emails. Claude built a system of labels to auto-archive non-essential mail, label announcements/newsletters so they skip my inbox (but I can review later), & file to-do emails in a folder and add to Apple reminders. claudeblattman.com/toolkit/execut…

I made a Claude/Codex skill to help you learn Python. Here's how it works: > You invoke with /python-learning-coach. > The skill stores in memory your current level of Python/programming understanding and continuously updates it. So, it always knows the level at which to give you explanations. > The skill also stores in memory summaries of every day's interactions with the skill, and loads in your last few days of conversations into its context every time you use it. This helps it give more relevant advice. This is a now common architecture shared by many memory systems, including those of OpenClaw, and which also can be used for arbitrary "learning/teaching" skills. If you want to install it, point your coding agent at github.com/aniketpanjwani… and ask it to help you install it. Or, look at the README for various other installation options: github.com/aniketpanjwani…

Singapore Ministry of Law has released the Singapore Guide for Using Generative AI in the Legal Sector, a practical framework aimed at supporting the responsible adoption of GenAI in legal practice. The Guide highlights several key principles for legal professionals and institutions integrating AI into their work. It emphasizes on governance and accountability in the use of GenAI within legal practice Making it clear that while GenAI can assist in legal tasks such as drafting, research, and document review, the ultimate responsibility for legal work remains with the legal professional. Legal professionals are cautioned against inputting confidential or privileged information into public or unsecured GenAI systems without adequate safeguards. It recommends that organisations and/or law firms develop internal policies, train staff on AI literacy, and establish clear workflows for responsible GenAI use. The Guide encourages law firms to assess their needs, conduct due diligence on AI vendors, and implement tools in a controlled and monitored manner. This step-by-step approach helps reduce risks associated with premature or unregulated adoption. It also promotes continuous monitoring and review as an essential component of responsible GenAI use While the Guide reflects the realities of a highly developed legal ecosystem, it offers useful lessons for emerging digital markets. As AI adoption continues to grow across Africa, there is an increasing need for practical frameworks that support responsible use within the legal profession. Link - mlaw.gov.sg/files/Guide_fo…

Most people have thousands of saved tweets they never find again. Siftly runs a 4-stage AI pipeline on your bookmarks — entity extraction, vision analysis, semantic tagging, categorization — then turns everything into a searchable knowledge base with a mindmap view. 100% self-hosted. Open source. Data never leaves your machine.

Hi folks- I’m a petroleum analyst that monitors and forecasts prices and have been doing so for 20 years. While my analysis is not political, some of my job is to weigh political impacts. I’m happy to share credible non hype information on fuel prices with you and would love to earn your follow.
