A sentença reconhece que insultos e humilhação por esses motivos podem gerar punições e indenizações, que empresas não podem discriminar em contratação, demissão ou ambiente de trabalho e que escolas podem ser punidas por bullying contra estudantes LGBTQIA+. O Tribunal afirmou que vai continuar padronizando decisões sobre direitos dessas minorias e incluirá dignidade humana e direitos da personalidade na formação de juízes.
