The user cannot use the power button (somewhat common button to use) without directly looking at it... every time...

It's just the power icon. It's tiny and very easy to miss, especially when standing and eyeline is not perpendicular. No physical differentiation between the valid area and the not. Surely partially sighted people do laundry as well? For me, it doesn't work 50% of the time.

Miele usually design their products incredibly well, but my most recent washing machine has a dreadful failure of design. Have a look at the power button (entirely touch, no tactile affordances.) Now guess how much of it is a valid touch target? @Miele_Press @MieleUSA
