This is where APAC credit becomes relevant. APAC is not one single market. It is a collection of economies with different borrowers, refinancing needs, sector dynamics, legal frameworks, and policy environments. That difference matters for portfolio construction.

For allocators, better access is only part of the story. If the underlying exposure still moves with the same credit cycles, policy regimes, and macro drivers, the portfolio may not be as diversified as the infrastructure suggests.

The first wave of tokenized credit did what it needed to do. It proved that digital rails can support real institutional credit strategies. But early growth has naturally clustered around the most familiar markets: Western credit, USD exposure, and established institutional demand.

The key takeaway of the evening was perhaps best captured in the room itself—three MAS-regulated entities, a bank, an asset manager, and a digital asset exchange, moving in the same direction. The evening brought together institutional investors, digital asset practitioners, and industry leaders for two keynote addresses and a candid fireside discussion on what it means to bring institutional-grade assets on-chain—and why now.
