I'm an Albertan. Born and raised here my whole life. I'm also a proud Canadian. And I can't wait for the separation referendum. Most Albertans can't. Not because we want to leave but because we're going to send a crystal clear message to the separatist crowd: Alberta belongs to us Canadians. Now that they've hit their signature threshold (the much lower bar of about 178k), expect peak insufferable circle jerk mode. Lies, rage farming, and copium incoming. Meanwhile, the Forever Canada petition absolutely crushed it with over 404,000 verified signatures, more than double the separatist number, and it wasn't sooo desperate. So enjoy watching them make idiots of themselves until we slap this bullshit down at the ballot box. It's gonna taste so much sweeter. I've said it before but if you're done with the circus, RT this. #Abpoli #OneCanada

I'd always wanted to be the Prime Minister of Canada. Just ask my family- it's no secret. Since the lockdowns, I stopped having that goal. I realized my Canada was gone. So, I've changed directions: I dream of one day becoming the Leader of the Country of Alberta! Hopefully...

The black line marks city boundaries. The red lines show how the UCP aims to weaken your vote by gerrymandering Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge, and Red Deer into pieces to rig the election. We can't let Danielle Smith get away with it.

Not true. The motion calls for an independent panel to take the majority report of the Commission and integrate the recommendation of Justice Dallas Miller in his addendum to the majority report. UCP is just following the judge's advice. NDP wants to ignore that advice.
Duane Bratt🇨🇦@DuaneBratt

2) To replace the Commission's majority report and create a committee of MLAs to determine boundaries. Without public hearings. I fear this is to impose the minority report (2 UCP appointees) to extremely gerrymander ridings in Alberta. A major blow to democracy in Alberta

There is a reason that we do not have MLAs decide on electoral boundaries. Tossing out the Electoral Boundaries Commission and replacing it with a UCP-dominated committee is not just a bad idea. It is really bad for democracy. Ask the US, ask Hungary. This is not normal!

@Blip165202 @neondrafts @JJ_McCullough GDP per person is not a tool used to measure quality of life. The cost of living has increased, but so has wages. Things arent perfect, but its not because of some evil Liberal government. There are a lot of things in this country that have improved in the last decade.

The one thing I don’t understand, however, is why Carney wants to cobble together a razor-thin majority government through a bunch of Conservative floor-crossings instead of just calling a snap election he’d surely win.

@neondrafts @PhukoJones @JJ_McCullough Harpers balanced budget was at the expense of selling of a significant number of Canadian assets. The last PM to have an actual balanced budget was Paul Martin.

@neondrafts @JJ_McCullough 1. It didnt get worse 2. Any things that were "worsened" also happened globally 3. Because the stephen harper era showed us what conservatives do - sell off assets, cut key spending, bail out corporations, and weaken Canada.

Mark Carney’s official Easter message just dropped… and it’s getting absolutely roasted. Instead of any mention of the resurrection, faith, or the actual meaning of the holiday, he posted a generic note about painted eggs and “spending time with family.” In a country with deep Christian roots, the Prime Minister’s Easter greeting was reduced to colourful eggs and brunch vibes. Many Canadians are calling it tone deaf, empty, and completely out of touch. This is the same leader who was quick to highlight other cultural observances like EID and Ramadan, but when it comes to Easter, it’s watered down to the bare minimum.

Alberta’s min wage is the lowest in Canada, but only ~114,000 workers (5.2% of employees) earn it. Over half of those are under 24 and ~37% of those are students, many of whom earn tips in service industries. The broader picture? Albertans are the highest-paid employees in Canada: • #1 average weekly earnings — $1,366/wk (Jan 2026) • Highest avg annual salary — $135k+ • Top median family income No PST either. Big picture? A good place to work.
Barbara@divabarbieyyc

@albertan_rural Unbelievable. Alberta has the LOWEST minimum wage in the country and MLAs have themselves a raise. Wake the f*ck up people.

🇨🇦💸To Canadians who are now looking at $2/litre (and rising). Before you blame it on Trump, here's a reminder. Canada has the 3rd largest oil reserves in the world. It's our Liberal Prime Minister who won't allow us to use them. Plus the Prime Minister before him had a decade to prepare for this, but also wouldn’t us to prepare nor prosper 11 years of planned decline! This was NOT by chance!

Canada may never have another Conservative government again. No, I’m not black pilling it. Everything is lining up to for the Conservatives to never win another Federal election, at least for the foreseeable future. Right now, people are so frustrated and fed up with Canada, they’re leaving. The ones leaving aren’t the ones who vote Liberal. They’re the Conservatives who are tired of watching the Liberals absolutely destroy Canada. Add to that the floods of people that the Liberals are bringing into Canada. Sorry. Not people. Liberal voters. This will help ensure the Liberals win elections for many terms to come. This is what I predict the future of Canada will be. Endless Liberal governments until they are so successful at destroying us through immigration, that a Muslim Party is formed and they win a majority government, thus paving the way to sharia law in Canada. This isn’t just a possible outcome for Canada, it’s a probable one. Look around. You’ll see the signs. This is exactly what is being planned. And the Liberals are making it happen.

The population of the 13 colonies during the American Revolution was, 2.5 million. Half the population of Alberta. They built a country that became a global super power, with pen and paper and without electricity. We have tools beyond their wildest imagination. This can be done.

Edmonton Mayor Andrew Knack is an object lesson in how the Canadian left has lost its moral bearings. He is attacking Edmonton’s Police Chief for a study trip to Israel with other big city chiefs. But within weeks of becoming Mayor, Knack flew to the People’s Republic of China for an official visit. So let’s compare: ISRAEL - The Middle East’s only real democracy. - Famously independent judiciary that includes Arab judges, a system that has sentenced Israeli Prime Ministers, Presidents, and IDF officers when found guilty of crimes. - Has a dynamic Parliamentary system that includes Arab parties who have been part of governing coalitions, and held the balance of power. - The only modern state founded by an ancient indigenous people in their historic lands after millennia of colonial occupation and genocide. The most successful historical example of decolonization. - The only Jewish state on Earth, whose raison d’être is to be a refuge for the victims of history’s most durable and pernicious hatred, born out of the ashes of the Holocaust. - Has been attacked by hostile armies repeatedly, including on the very day of its creation and recognition by the UN. - Has been the target of endless campaigns of violence by groups recognized under Canadian law as terrorists, including a pogrom two years ago involving mass rape and kidnapping that was the largest massacre of Jews since 1945. - Relative to its size, is the most innovative economy in the world, with more per capita patents, successful tech startups, and Nobel prizes than any nation on Earth. - The world’s most experienced police agencies in dealing with terrorism. PRC - Dictatorial one party state - Seven decades of violent oppression of political dissidents, ethnic, and religious minorities - The destruction of tens of thousands of Buddhist (mainly Tibetan) monasteries and temples; Muslim mosques; Christian Churches, and other places of worship - The ongoing prosecution of an active genocide (according to the Parliament of Canada, et al) against the Uyghur Muslim minority - The invasion, despoliation, and partial ethnic cleansing of Tibet. - History’s largest state sanctioned famine, the Great Leap Forward, during which 30 to 45 million people were killed. - Until recently, a brutally enforced One Child Policy that involved countless forced abortions and sterilizations - The continued use of forced labour concentration camps - The long standing world leader in executing people. - Currently engaged in the largest military expansion in world history - The publicly declared intent to use that military power to invade Taiwan, a peaceful neighbouring democracy, by 2027. - An expansionist / imperialist agenda in the South China Sea, including the creation of artificial islands as military bases, the harassment of Filipino & other fishing & naval fleets - Flagrant violation of Hong Kong’s Basic Law, including elimination of political and press freedoms, and the imprisonment of dissidents like Jimmy Lai. - Massive industrial and political espionage, including against Canadian targets, involving patent and IP theft - Massive interference in Canadian elections through the United Front Work Department - 25+ years of violating WTO obligations through massive unfair trading practices, currency manipulation, subsidization of key industries, et - Repeated arbitrary application of tariffs against Canada, including Alberta canola farmers during Knack’s PRC visit - Arbitrary arrest & imprisonment of Canadians, including diplomats, and Canadian Muslim Hussein Ceilil who has been imprisoned, without consular access, since 2006. - World’s largest & fastest growing source of GHG emissions. - Key ally of the world’s worst regimes, including Putin’s Russia and the Mullahs’ Iranian terror state. Etc. Let the record show that Edmonton’s “progressive” Mayor kowtows to the world’s largest dictatorship, but condemns the democratic Jewish homeland. For shame
