I've actually been shouting about this for 6 years, when I got published in the Irish Times bit.ly/2xa9K26. "Two-thirds of online spending, worth more than €3 billion a year, takes place abroad." As the size of our digital economy increases, so does this amount. Action!

@MagsIsOnline I think you're right but as far as I know the meeting was about Cork's digital vision and the digital ecosystem should probably include indigenous digital businesses, digital start-ups, traditional businesses undergoing digital transformation, etc

@digital_cork looks like the names around the map are the places that do R+D, then listed on the right are the places that provide incubation centres + financial supports to bring the ideas to market

Digital Cork would have welcomed the opportunity to contribute to Cork's digital vision at the Digital Cities Challenge session held last week. We missed the context of the digital ecosystem that was presented at the event. Any insights into what this represents would be welcome.
