Alec Baldwin hits back at Elon Musk for criticizing Lupita Nyong’o’s looks amid ‘The Odyssey’ casting trib.al/b281r0Q

English

@ThatF95046 @cb_doge Totally true and that’s why Hollywood does not deserve to continue as is. They’ve turned it into a circus.
English

@cb_doge It’s sad to think that some of the greatest movies in history to include the Godfather, Citizen Kane and Amadeus would be ineligible for consideration for an academy award today based solely on the skin colors of the actors involved.
English

David Rubin served as President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences from 2019 to 2022.
In 2020, under his leadership, the Academy launched the “Representation and Inclusion Standards” for Best Picture eligibility. These rules, still in effect, require films to meet at least 2 of 4 diversity criteria involving race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or disability in on-screen roles, creative leadership, or crew.
Rubin publicly backed the changes and helped appoint the task force co-led by producer DeVon Franklin.
He shifted the Oscars from “best movie wins” to race/gender engineering. A film can now be ineligible for the top prize purely for failing demographic quotas, regardless of quality or audience impact.
Instead of focusing purely on talent and storytelling, the Academy under Rubin institutionalized identity preferences.
Oscars prestige and viewership have tanked. Many see it as performative politics over art. Classics with non-diverse casts would be disqualified.
He helped install the DEI machinery that turned awards into checkboxes and accelerated Hollywood’s quality decline.

🚨GOOGLE JUST SILENTLY DOWNLOADED A 4GB AI MODEL TO YOUR COMPUTER WITHOUT ASKING.. WITHOUT TELLING YOU.. AND WITHOUT ANY WAY TO STOP IT..
If you use Chrome.. There's a good chance a 4 gigabyte file is sitting on your hard drive right now that you never agreed to download..
It's called Gemini Nano.. Google's on-device AI model.. A security researcher just proved it installs itself with zero clicks.. Zero prompts.. Zero notifications..
Alexander Hanff set up a completely fresh Chrome profile.. Didn't click anything.. Didn't scroll.. Didn't type a single keystroke.. Just opened the browser and watched..
14 minutes and 28 seconds later.. Chrome had silently scanned his hardware.. Read his GPU, RAM, and storage.. Then wrote a 4GB file to his hard drive.. No permission dialog.. Nothing..
Chrome's own logs show the download begins BEFORE the settings page where you could opt out is even loaded.. The file starts installing before the refusal button exists..
As of Chrome 148.. Any website you visit can trigger this download.. One line of JavaScript.. You click a link to read a blog post.. That click counts as "user activation".. And Chrome silently pulls 4GB in the background..
No install prompt.. No consent dialog.. Google's own docs admit this..
Your laptop overheats.. Storage disappears.. Battery drains.. And you have no idea why..
The model doesn't even work well.. Cloud requests take 1.3 seconds.. The local model at worst case takes over 9 minutes for a single response..
Google is using your storage, electricity, and bandwidth to run an AI that's 40 times slower than their own servers..
And the "AI Mode" button in Chrome's address bar.. Doesn't even use the local model.. It sends everything to Google's cloud anyway..
You pay the storage penalty.. The heat penalty.. The bandwidth penalty.. And the visible AI feature ignores the local file entirely..
Because Chrome fails to clean up old versions.. Users are finding 12GB or more of duplicate AI files stacked on their drives..
Palo Alto Networks found a vulnerability where a browser extension could hijack the local AI model's permissions.. Accessing your webcam.. Microphone.. Local files.. Through an AI you never installed..
Here's how to check if it's on your machine..
Windows.. C:\Users\[YourName]\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\OptGuideOnDeviceModel\
Mac.. ~/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome/Default/OptGuideOnDeviceModel/
If there's a file called weights.bin.. Google downloaded their AI to your computer without asking..
To stop it.. Type chrome://flags.. Search "optimization-guide-on-device-model" and disable it.. Search "prompt-api-for-gemini-nano" and disable that too.. Restart Chrome.. Then manually delete the folder..
If you don't disable the flags first.. Chrome redownloads the 4GB file on next launch..
Firefox requires explicit opt-in for AI.. Apple Intelligence requires explicit consent.. Chrome just takes your hard drive..
Google didn't ask to use your storage.. Your electricity.. Your bandwidth..
They just took it.

@joshburry @dr_ericberg That’s why I hate cold plunges/baths. They stress me out immensely. I don’t believe they are any good for me.

@dr_ericberg What about the claim that cold plunges spike cortisol and is bad for your health?

@nippon_en Murakami is a great writer, no question about it. However, there seem to be even better representatives among his contemporaries. His popularity is a product of the accessibility and availability for readers. His publishing machine of agents and publishers has done a great job.

@JoeBrig2 @SawyerMerritt Even so, there’s no justification to what Sam Altman did.
English

@SawyerMerritt OpenAI would not exist in its form if it was kept a charity. The best would have left years ago and formed other companies, like Anthropic.
English

Here's a rough summary of Elon Musk’s 1 hour and 40 minute long testimony today during the OpenAI trial. He will resume his testimony tomorrow.
• Argues the case has huge implications: "It is not ok to steal a charity. If the defendants are found not guilty, this case will become caselaw. It’ll give license to looting every charity in America. The consequences of this case go far beyond me or everyone here. The entire foundation of charitable giving in America will be destroyed."
• Says OpenAI was founded as a nonprofit, open-source counterweight to Google, focused on AI safety.
• Claims the shift to a for-profit structure violated that mission.
• Says his AI concerns date back to conversations with Larry Page, who he felt wasn’t taking AI risk seriously.
• Elon says he tried to warn Obama about AI, but that Obama felt AI was not good enough (back then) to seem scary smart. "Here we are in 2026, AI is very smart."
• Believes AI could surpass human intelligence as soon as next year and poses existential risk in the hands of the wrong people: “If you have someone who’s not very trustworthy in charge of AI, that’s very dangerous for the whole world.”
• Elon framed his companies (SpaceX, Neuralink, xAI) as part of a broader mission to protect humanity’s future.
• Emphasized OpenAI’s original goal: AI for the good of humanity, not profit-driven control.
• Elon's main argument is that OpenAI abandoned its founding principles, and that precedent could reshape both AI governance and charitable trust.
• Larry Page refused to speak to Elon Musk again after Elon recruited Ilya Sutskever to join OpenAI. Elon viewed Ilya as the “number one” most valuable member at Google.
• Elon thought in the early days, OpenAI's corporate structure would be a nonprofit funded initially with donations, but there could potentially be a parallel for-profit that is owned by the nonprofit and funds the nonprofit: “We (Sam Altman and Elon) were in agreement that OpenAI would be a 501c3 charity.
• Elon was not opposed to there being a small for-profit that provided funding to the nonprofit, as long as "the tail didn’t wag the dog."
• Elon: “there are very few people who understand venture capital in Silicon Valley like I do."

Osmanlı İmparatorluğu tarafından günümüz Türkiye, Suriye ve Ermenistan topraklarında katledilen 1,5 milyon Ermeni'yi anarken, tarihin tekerrür etmesine izin vermeyi reddetmeliyiz.

There's a probiotic strain that's been clinically proven to target belly fat.
Not total body weight
Not water weight
Visceral fat -
The dangerous fat packed around your organs.
In multiple clinical trials,
People who took this strain for 12 weeks saw measurable reductions in visceral fat, waist circumference, and body weight.
No change in diet
No change in exercise
Just the probiotic.
The strain is called L. Gasseri.
It naturally lives in your gut and was originally isolated from human breast milk.
A randomized, double-blind clinical trial published in the Journal of Medical Food put it to the test.
One group received L. Gasseri daily.
The other received a placebo.
After 12 weeks?
Visceral fat decreased significantly in the L. Gasseri group.
Waist circumferences shrank.
The placebo group?
No changes.
Separate Japanese research confirmed the same thing -
Fermented milk containing L. Gasseri reduced BMI, abdominal fat, and visceral fat that wraps around your organs.
Why does this matter?
Because not all body fat is equal.
Subcutaneous fat sits under your skin.
Annoying but relatively harmless
Visceral fat is different.
It wraps around your liver, kidneys, and intestines.
It produces inflammatory chemicals that increase your risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and the "Big C."
You can look relatively lean -
And still be carrying dangerous amounts of it.
L. Gasseri appears to target this specific type of fat.
But it does more than just that.
It strengthens your gut barrier -
Reducing the leakiness that lets toxins flood your bloodstream.
It suppresses harmful bacteria while supporting the beneficial ones.
It helps regulate appetite hormones -
The signals that tell your brain when you're full.
It may help lower cholesterol by influencing how your body processes bile acids.
And it can reduce IBS symptoms,
Especially abdominal pain.
When your gut is working properly, your metabolism follows.
Here's the problem most people run into:
You can buy L. Gasseri in a capsule.
Most deliver a few billion bacteria per dose.
But most of those bacteria arrive DEAD.
Heat, moisture, shelf time, and stomach acid destroy them before they ever reach your gut.
A few billion sounds like a lot.
It's not.
Your gut contains trillions of microbes.
A few billion is a drop in the ocean.
Not enough to colonize. Not enough to shift the balance.
Dr. William Davis (the physician who wrote "Wheat Belly" and "Super Gut") -
Figured out a better way:
Make your own probiotic yogurt at home using specific strains.
Not a pill
Not a supplement
A highly concentrated probiotic food you make yourself.
His protocol:
Ferment at 109°F for 36 hours.
That extended fermentation time allows the bacteria to multiply far beyond what any capsule can deliver.
Trillions of live cultures per batch.
Not billions. TRILLIONS.
Fresh. Potent. Alive.
A half cup a day is the protocol.
The difference between a capsule and homemade yogurt is like comparing a garden hose to a fire hydrant.
Same water
Completely different force
I've been making my own probiotic yogurt for a few years now.
It was one of the best decisions I ever made for my gut, my digestion, my energy, and my body composition.
I've been saying for 30 years:
Your weight, your energy, your metabolism -
It starts in the gut.
When my gut was destroyed,
Nothing worked.
No diet. No exercise plan. No willpower.
When I fixed the gut?
Everything downstream changed.
Science is finally catching up.
And strains like L. Gasseri are one of the biggest reasons why.
Comment GUIDE and I'll send you a FREE guide on how to make unlimited probiotics at home.
P.S. MUST Follow for me to DM you.

@ilhansen @zeynepkologluu Kaleminize sağlık. Düşünüp de yazmaya üşendiğim şeyleri çok da güzel bir yorumla dile getirmişsiniz.
Türkçe

Saçma.. A yavaşlıyor (frenliyor), C hızlanıyor (ivme artıyor), B ise görece stabil ilerliyor. B'nin hızı o an 5 km/s de olabilir 50 km/s de, 100 km/s de. Diğer yandan C hızlanır A yavaşlarken o andaki hızları 1'den örneğin 80'e kadar herşey olabilir.
