De mainstream media verkondigen eensgezind 🔊: “Brussel is bekroond tot Europese Hoofdstad van de Democratie”, "Een prestigieuze prijs" 🥇 Nu ernstig dan: deze prijs is een linkse versie van ´Wij van Wc-eend adviseren Wc-eend´, maar veel misleidender dan. 🦆 En het zegt veel over (de betrouwbaarheid van) de media dat ze in deze linkse propagandashow meestappen. Samengevat: deze prijs komt van een progressieve, anti-rechtse club die prijzen uitdeelt aan bestuurders die in haar kraam passen. Het bestuur in Brussel staat compleet haaks op de principes van de democratie. 👎 De échte staat van de Brusselse democratie is bedroevend. Elke aanvraag van rechtse organisaties of partijen voor een manifestatie op het publieke domein wordt structureel verworpen door de stad —ANTI-democratische preventieve censuur dus — om vervolgens door de rechtbank teruggefloten te worden. Zelfs private zalen weigeren rechtse meetings omdat extreemlinks de uitbaters viseert en bedreigt, terwijl datzelfde extreemlinks de hand boven het hoofd wordt gehouden door het PS-stadsbestuur. Wat dan met de club die de prijzen uitreikt? Achter de schermen zit Helfried Carl, een Oostenrijkse SPÖ-man (ex-kabinetschef van sociaaldemocratische voorzitster Barbara Prammer). Zijn ECoD-organisatie is een typisch progressief establishment-initiatief dat “democratie” vooral ziet als anti-rechts en inclusie. De Experts’ Jury die de shortlist bepaalt, bestaat onder meer uit Bruno Kaufmann (Democracy International), Antonella Valmorbida (ALDA) en Paulina Fröhlich van de Bertelsmann Foundation, die expliciet werkt rond “Dealing with Radical Populist Forces”. Het is dus een netwerk dat sterk gericht is op de strijd tegen populisme. Belangrijke context die u van de media niet krijgt, waardoor bewust een valse indruk wordt gewekt dat het om een neutrale, objectieve prijs gaat. Conclusie: deze uitreiking van een ‘democratie’-prijs aan Brussel zegt niets over Brussel zelf, maar alles over de manier waarop links naar democratie kijkt en over de media die erover berichten alsof het een objectieve prijs zou zijn. Zouden de media op dezelfde manier berichten als een rechtse organisatie een democratie-prijs zou uitreiken aan een rechts bestuurde stad (die allicht véél meer waarachtig democratisch bestuurd zou worden dan Brussel 😉)? De mainstream media in Vlaanderen en Nederland hebben geen woord gerept over deze gruwelijke zaak uit Stoke-on-Trent (VK). In februari 2026 werden deze mannen veroordeeld voor een wraakactie, waarbij ze een 31-jarige moeder die niets met de feiten te maken had in brand staken in haar eigen huis, terwijl haar 13-jarige dochter toekeek. De vrouw liep brandwonden op over 65% van haar lichaam en lag twee maanden in coma. Wat eraan voorafging: Op 16 december 2021 rond 16 uur ontstond in Kildare Street in Longton (Stoke-on-Trent) een massale vechtpartij tussen twee groepen mannen. Daarbij vielen rake klappen en iemand trok een mes. Kashif Ahmed werd in de schouder gestoken en moest naar het ziekenhuis. De groep die zich aangevallen voelde, besloot later die avond wraak te nemen. Ze gingen echter naar het verkeerde adres: Beverley Drive in de wijk Bentilee. Daar woonde een 31-jarige moeder samen met haar 13-jarige dochter. Het gezin had niets met het eerdere conflict te maken. De bende stond aan het verkeerde huis! Rond 23 uur arriveerde de groep bij het huis. Ze ramden de ramen in, gooiden benzine door de brievenbus en in de hal en staken het huis in brand. Ze drongen binnen, troffen de moeder aan en sloegen haar met een zwaar voorwerp op het hoofd. Vervolgens goten ze benzine over de 31-jarige vrouw heen en staken haar letterlijk in brand, terwijl haar 13-jarige dochter alles moest aanzien. De moeder en dochter probeerden wanhopig te ontsnappen aan de vuurzee. Ze sloegen een bovenraam kapot en sprongen naar beneden. Daarbij liep de moeder ook nog een gebroken bekken en gebroken ribben op. De vrouw belandde in kritieke toestand met derdegraads brandwonden over 65% van haar lichaam en lag twee maanden in coma. Haar dochter liep brandwonden op aan arm en been (ongeveer 15%). De moeder heeft nog steeds zware verwondingen en voortdurende medische behandeling nodig. Na een 11 weken durend proces in Nottingham Crown Court zijn alle tien mannen (sommigen na bekentenis, anderen na veroordeling) schuldig bevonden aan onder meer poging tot moord, brandstichting met intentie om levens in gevaar te brengen en geweldpleging. Wanneer anti-migratiepartijen en -bewegingen als Reform in het VK zo´n groot succes hebben, heeft dat deels uiteraard te maken met feiten als deze, waarvan er te veel zijn. Denk maar aan het netwerk van islamitische grooming gangs dat Britse meisjes op enorme schaal gruwelijk misbruikte. Maar dat weet u volgens onze media maar beter allemaal niet. 🤨
