As I said, very few abusers end up getting convicted and it is pretty normal and common for victims of grooming to deny their abuse — as was the case with Reshona Landfair. This is what “trauma bonding” actually means, not the buzzword it has become online.
R. Kelly was also known for settling cases to avoid prison because wealth enables legal manoeuvring for abusers.
Michael Jackson settled as well:
- Jordan Chandler settlement: $23–25 million
- Cascio family settlement: $16 million
- Plus other smaller settlements
That’s a lot of smoke to come from a place where there was apparently no fire.
