It is a gut-wrenching way for Finland to lose their title. They played a nearly perfect tactical game and were less than a minute away from overtime. While Canada's stars get the headlines, this felt like a game where the better "team" lost to a group of better "individuals." The late penalty and the defensive lapse at the very end are going to haunt Finnish hockey for years. It’s a great result for the broadcasters who wanted a Canada-USA final, but it feels like a cruel exit for a disciplined Finnish side that deserved better.
