Do you remember when you joined X? I do! #MyXAnniversary time flies had a few eras, most successful in terms of followers was the “mentally ill after breaking my knee” era in early 2013

Took a week off twitter. I had had enough of reading a schizophrenic shampoo bottle ingredient list for hours a day. I came back today and it’s wilder than I remember

Because most non-Britons are more used to American English, Britishisms throw many foreigners off. They'll be slightly bewildered at "you alright?" as a greeting, or "ta" as thanks. L2 speakers speaking 'international English' are often easier for other L2 speakers to understand.

It's really fascinating to me how the kids are willing to talk about genuinely sophisticated & subtle human dynamics in actually lucid ways but only through the veil of the wryest, most ironic & detached possible language Suggests some sort of heisenbergs uncertainty law of earnestness vs getting laughed out of the room

This actually is a really interesting point/piece. It appears nearly ALL super wealthy men engage in this type of behavior. So if every man who has money does this, does that in turn mean that every man WOULD engage in these behaviors if he could? Is it solely money and lack of opportunity that keeps men from becoming evil? And if that is the case, if the nature of humanity, particularly the human male is to be evil, what does that mean about God? Why would he create a species with the inherent nature of being evil? I know this is getting a bit existential, but if you take the emotional out, these are interesting things to ponder.

>looking for a new kind of asset that protects against insane government decisions >Ask the crypto guys if their bitcoin is digital gold or just a leveraged risk asset >They don't understand >Pull out illustrated diagram showing correlations to tech stocks >"Haha it's a good digital gold sir" >It's a leveraged risk asset

You really have to enjoy the fact that during the period in which the debasement suddenly became a point of regular discussion among investors, this is what the price of bitcoin did

art like this is so much more poignant than art with a similar message being made ten years ago because you can tell that the person who made it is genuinely losing their fucking mind
