“I was fifty years old when my husband decided to “find himself.” Not with me. With another woman. Younger. He said it seriously, as if he were announcing a spiritual awakening. He needed freedom. Purpose. To finally “live for himself.” I listened without screaming. Not out of pride. Out of exhaustion. The exhaustion of someone who carried everyday life for years. The silences. The “oops, I forgot.” The exhaustion of being present… while the other was already elsewhere. When he left, he asked me: “And you—what will you do now?” I answered calmly: “Live. What I never truly had time to do.” I stayed. Not empty. Just free. The next day I went to the hairdresser. To the bank. And then to the pastry shop to buy that dessert I always postponed for “another time.” That evening I opened Facebook. Not to look for someone. Just to see if I still existed. Not as “someone’s wife.” But as myself. That night I fell asleep in peace. No promises. No plans. Just a heart that was finally breathing. Because sometimes, true rebirth doesn’t begin with someone else. It begins when a woman chooses herself. And one thing is certain: She no longer asks permission to live. She no longer settles for crumbs. She deserves the whole table.” Credit: Monica Smith

if you want to survive AI, now is the time to fight as hard as you possibly can to be a COMPLETE human... the specialist won't survive 👇🏾 Your grandfather could probably build a house, fix an engine, grow food, play piano, speak french, and tell you which way was north without checking a phone. He had skills across the spectrum of survival and craft. Slowly we told everyone to pick one thing and get really good at it. At 16 I was told to pick a career for the rest of my life... But in a world of AI, and incoming super-intelligence, this has never, ever, been worse advice. The specialist programmer? ChatGPT codes faster. The specialist writer? Claude writes cleaner. The specialist designer? Midjourney does it faster. The inconvenient truth is that the specialist won't survive. The people I am now hiring into my companies and what I want my future kids to be, are COMPLETE HUMANS. The complete human is the one who builds AND creates AND thinks AND feels across disciplines - that's the person that becomes more interesting, more rare and more valuable, as machines become more specialised. It's hard for machines to automate the weird intersection of human experiences that makes someone decide to explain a marketing campaign through jazz metaphors, design a product inspired by stoic philosophy. Your ancestors weren't specialists because they couldn't afford to be. We can't afford to be specialists because the machines are going to win that game. Fight as hard as you can, to remain a complete human! Fight the voice in your head that says successful people don't waste time painting, or dancing, or learning languages they'll never monetise. That voice is lying. The most interesting founders I know are part-time sommeliers, weekend pilots, terrible poets, decent drummers. They bring their whole weird, complete humanity to everything they touch. And that's exactly what makes them irreplaceably human 👊🏾❤️ Interested to hear about some of the weird things my community on here does to remain a complete human! Anyone wanna share?

Meet Musawenkosi Buthelezi, who grew up with 10 other family members in a 4 room RDP house, in KwaThema, Ekurhuleni. The family would barely survive as only 1 person in the family was employed as a cashier at a nearby butchery, while only 3 others received social grants. He would often wait till night time when everyone is asleep and the house is quiet before being able to study. Besides those odds Musawenkosi completed Matric with 7 distinctions making him a top 10 achiever in the province and nationally🏅 He is currently pursuing two Medical Degrees at UCT. Currently, a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery; and afterwards a BSC Honours in Neuroscience. His ultimate goal is to be a Neurosurgoen. The youth truly are the future 💫

Durban beachfront is getting their own amusement park valued at R1 billion - they are redeveloping the old Funworld Site🎪🎢🎡 I have been waiting forever for this announcement. The eThekwini Municipality shared renders with me earlier today, and they look incredible. • Completion date: 2027 • Jobs created during construction: 900 • Permanent jobs created once open: 500 • Project by: Masithu Consulting and Project Managers (MCPM) Key public upgrades will include: • Themed food courts. • Neon-lit pedestrian walkways. • An alcohol-free, family-friendly environment. • Panoramic viewing decks overlooking the ocean and city skyline. • A fully-redeveloped splash-park and children’s water play area - funded entirely by the developer. Some of the exciting amusement park rides include: the Lightning Roller Coaster, Disko 24, Vertical Swing, and a 1,500m2 Virtual Reality Theme Park with more than 160 interactive games and global e-sports activations. The park will be developed in partnership with 2 leading Italian amusement engineering firms, well known for projects at Ferrari World, Universal Studios and Disneyland. The city's revival of its beachfront properties through public-private partnerships is excellent. This redevelopment is part of a larger R2-billion private-sector investment pipeline along the Golden Mile. It complements the Joe Kools redevelopment, enhancements to the Elangeni & Maharani hotels, and the City’s long-term beachfront renewal plan. Durban has the best climate year-round and deserves to be one of South Africa’s top tourism destinations. Looking forward to seeing the former Funworld Site restored. Who has memories connected to Funworld? Let me know in the comments.

Minister Lamola’s response to Secretary Rubio The same Nelson Mandela who spent 27 years in prison for fighting that system of racial tyranny, and for much of that time, until the year 2008, his name remained on a United States official list as a “terrorist.” History, we have learned, often renders a different judgment. It reminds us that one nation’s “terrorist” can be another’s—and ultimately, the world’s—moral beacon. It teaches us profound humility in judging the complex, painful journeys of other nations toward justice. Our democratic journey is but 30 years young. It asks an immense task: to dismantle the entrenched architecture of over 300 years of colonialism and apartheid. No nation on earth has performed such radical surgery on itself overnight. We are building, brick by brick, the foundation of a new society. Yes, our economy has faced profound challenges. But new green shoots are emerging historic investments in a just green energy transition, a renewed and systemic fight against corruption, and the resilient determination of a people finally claiming their rightful place in their own land. dirco.gov.za/a-response-to-…

Highly recommend reading the book of Psalms if you’re struggling with your Faith. Here are some chapters that I use to continue to build my Faith in God: Psalms 18, 25, 46, 55 & 62. Read & pray with each chapter & let them remind you who God is and what your Father is able to do

Jesus died at 33. The human spine has 33 vertebrae. The same structure that holds us up is the same number of years He held this Earth. We have 12 ribs on each side. 12 disciples. 12 tribes of Israel. God built His design into our bones. He wrote Heaven into our anatomy. The vagus nerve runs from your brain to your heart and gut. It calms storms inside the body. It looks just like a cross. That’s the power source running through us. Every time your body heals, every time your heart slows in prayer, every time peace shows up when it shouldn’t…that’s Him. Jesus rose on the third day. Science tells us that when you fast for 3 days, your body starts regenerating. Old cells die. New ones are born. Healing begins. Your body literally resurrects itself. That’s not coincidence. That’s design. And it keeps going. Your heart has an electrical rhythm. Your brain lights up when you pray. Tears contain different chemicals depending on if you're crying from joy or grief. The blood speaks. The bones store memory. The body worships whether you realize it or not. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. We are walking prophecy. Walking tabernacles. Dust and divinity in one. God didn’t just create you. He carved Himself into you. You don’t need to look far to find Him. You just need to look inward. He’s been in the design since the beginning.
