Very disappointed to see this as a member @BritishCycling. Have been considering cancelling my membership and this could be the final straw. I'd expected better.

@McDonaldsUK These were all chucked in planters next to a school. So maybe you could do more to encourage folks to bin their rubbish or use reusable cups rather than dropping it on the street?

Every year, millions of McCafé cups are recycled in restaurant and turned into greetings cards.

I just walked past the school and saw a child drop a Doritos packat and it blew onto the street. So it's definitely coming from the school!

Doing a litter pick for the second time this week in Dalmally Street. It is mostly kids snack food packaging. What are you doing @DunardPri to stop the scourge of litter on the street?

@UrbanistTOC Thanks for bringing facts and common sense to the absolute nonsense and hysteria being peddled by some. I cycle around Pollok and most of it is a death trap on a bike. Thank goodness the council is investing in bike paths!

@DunardPrimaryPC @NorthKelvinCC I'm not saying it's all the kids, but perhaps a wee campaign at the school teaching kids about why they should pick up rubbish would be a positive thing? Encouraging them to be responsible citizens (nice links to the curriculum and positive press for the school?)

@DunardPrimaryPC @NorthKelvinCC There was virtually no rubbish when the schools were off because of Covid. It's also worst on the streets around the school and its more sweetie and crisp wrappers than the surrounding streets.

Calling them 'cats eyes' is so outdated now most people only ever encounter a cat on YouTube. They should be called 'Bezos heads'. Much more shiny and much more relatable for the kids.
