At any time she could have gone for Bear who obviously would have jumped at the chance. She told Sarah she saw him as a friend or little brother, she asked him straight up if she liked him and said good when he said he liked her as a friend. She was lobbying to see if Bear had a thing for Sarah trying to gauge his interest for her friend. When she says she her crush wouldn’t know it and that she wants to feel love those were misread cues by Bear. She wasn’t talking about him. She was more just sharing as if he was a friend.
