Sony, this is your chance to realize how many people want to play Destiny... when its good.
Let the devs be great and you'd have a crazy player count! The people have spoken!

Even though projects aren't getting greenlit, Destiny is surely still being internally discussed a lot. You don't buy Bungie for $3.6B and think you will recoup any long-term investment without involving the Destiny IP. The question is just when and how much. #WeWantDestiny

I still refuse to believe we are getting full-stop end of Destiny 2 support.
Yeah, we aren't getting expansions or seasons anymore, but why can't we still get the same old Dawning, Guardian Games occasionally, and a few new weapons or something every few months?

@Pirat_Nation Outsourcing can actually usually save money and having the bones of an existing game can definitely make the process easier. It's becoming increasingly more common for studios to outsource remasters, so it's definitely not out of the range of possibilities.

Former Bungie executive Mark Noseworthy shared his thoughts on speculation about a possible Destiny 1 remaster.
He stopped short of confirming anything, saying: “I’m not going to comment on a certain remaster, but I’ll share some general reflections that I believe apply when executives and teams consider the merits of remasters from a business perspective.”
According to Noseworthy, the decision comes down to key questions: How much would it actually cost to make? What other projects would the studio have to put on hold? Would enough players buy it to make the investment worthwhile?
He noted that studios have limited people and resources, and outsourcing isn’t a simple fix for large, complex projects.
Noseworthy knows that remasters can succeed like Resident Evil, but said opportunity cost is a major factor
To be clear, he didn’t confirm a Destiny 1 remaster, he was simply explaining how studios evaluate such projects.

The Destiny IP won't go dormant forever, no matter what happens.
Even if we don't get any good news over the next 1.5-2 months, hell even few years, something is going to happen.
Let's hope Bungie devs can withstand the coming storm of layoffs and get competent leadership. #D3
