@SethSHowes That’s fascinating!! Have you considered sending your DNA sample for Whole genome or exome sequencing by a service provider? I’m pretty sure you’d still have privacy of your data. I’m just wondering if that would be cheaper than buying the minION and reagents..

@Vinncent Something I discussed with my ex who got yelled by Uber drivers several times is that cars in Brazil are produced with cheaper/lighter materials than in Europe or the US. So shutting a door of a VW Gol in BR sounds much worse than shutting the door of a VW Polo in Germany.

Tip for visitors to Brazil - it is rude to "slam" the door of someone's car (shut it with any force whatsoever). You must make a show of closing it as softly as possible. It is not rational - and this is precisely what makes it an act of politeness. It is like bowing; just do it
