Well look at rotations from past season, Luka played all 1st and 3rd quarters while Bron and Reaves went to the bench and came back together around the 4-5 minute mark. Yeah I’m assuming Smart and hopefully Kennard will be back. Other than that I don’t see a reason for another ball handler.

I do think it'll be valuable to have some ballhandling tho to give those 3 a break, esp Bron bc his handle isn't what it used to be and we don't want Luka and Austin being running into the ground. Marcus helps with that but need maybe 1-2 more

I know everyone watched LeBron against OKC, exactly what team is he leading to a title next year? He could barely even handle being second option to a highly injured Reaves. People need to get realistic about what he is at the age of 42.

@meera1577 @ChristopherRuiz I need me a real defensive wing (not Smart he’s still a guard) and a defensive minded center. Luka, Reaves, Bron is enough on offense. Then on the bench you get shooters and athletic wings, no backup point guard it’s a waste of a roster spot when you have Luka, Reaves, and Bron.

All I know is that Vando, Knecht, and LaRavia need to be off my team before the start of the new season. Just a bunch of empty stat lines. And we need to give our contracts to actual ball players, not no Nick Smith Jr.’s and Drew Timme’s anymore especially since JJ don’t play them.

@ChristopherRuiz @meera1577 $30m is the most I’d give tbh. Rather than $50m+. A $20m paycut is actually an acceptable price tag. The other contract that could be in play is the Full MLE at $14m. If he does that and Rob still can’t figure out the roster than we’d have punted 2 straight years of Luka’s prime.

@dipitinbranch @meera1577 I'd welcome him back. He just can't make that much anymore and Lakers can't build around him. They need to commit to Luka and view James as a piece to fit around him. Paying him $30 million does not accomplish that.

22/6/6 as a 2nd or 3rd option is acceptable, like why wouldn’t you want him back, it’s just at this point in his career and with the current roster and draft picks to bring in talent, he has to think about taking a paycut to maximize his chance at another ring. If lakers give him the Max along with Reaves, Lakers have no shot at a title with no depth.

@meera1577 If he is gonna come back, him and everyone need to realize he is 42 and needs to be a 3rd option or less. He can still get to those highs but its few and far between. He's not a #1 and we all need to accept it. Lakers need to build a team that reflects that.
