I'm trying to get a team to better their systems. But they are terrified of failing. Because they do not know how to recover. Because they have no process for acceptable small-scale failure to learn from. This is the nuance in actually guiding an organization towards excellence.

The price for electricity from solar declined to 6.8 US-cent per kWh (no subsidies). A 5-fold decline in just 9 years. Solar getting cheap rapidly is one of the most important developments in our time. From @_HannahRitchie's excellent work on energy ourworldindata.org/energy

How do you feel when you enter a large code base for the first time? What tips or advice would you give other developers who may feel overwhelmed when entering a new project for the first time, whether it be for work or some open source project they would like to contribute to?

@dangoslen Used to happen with me too. Then I started meditation(5-10mins is enough to get started). You wont feel anything change immediately. Feels like waking up from sleep. But later in the day, you will have moments of consciousness which will prevent you from getting swayed away.

🙋 Looking for some help! How do you balance time on Twitter? I'll login with the intention to tweet or contribute an idea to a conversation, but I either lose track of time or get intimidated... Any tools or advice? Thanks!

Learning JavaScript is unique. It isn't just about learning the concepts and constructs of JS, but also about how they came to be(the decision process) You also study a little bit of history along the way. Slowly, It all starts to look so elegant and beautiful to the mind.
