i feel like people in fandoms need to realize that misogyny can be a lot more subtle than just like, hating women. so when people point out misogyny in a piece of media they aren't always saying to witchhunt the creator they're pointing out how harmful biases are showing subtly

people hear "this decision is rooted in misogyny" and think they're saying "the creator of your favourite thing fucking hates women and you aren't allowed to like it" and not. "this person has some internal biases that come across in their work that should be acknowledged as bad"
