What a shock. New trains are unreliable. This has been the case for just about all of the 80X fleet across all TOCs. & the public pay the price for it. Hitachi are a shambles and the fleet of 80X trains across the country, are crap.

@mrdanwalker I think part of it is the funding model itself, people hate being told what to do and unfortunately bbc via capita use very underhand methods to collect the fee, with the bias people don’t want it anymore

I’ve had lots of messages from very worried former colleagues at the BBC. The corporation’s news operation is respected around the world but for many, this latest announcement about major cuts and job losses feels like the ‘managed decline’ of a trusted institution and a huge hit to morale. The direction of travel is one of reasons why, whenever I get asked if I miss the BBC, I say that I miss the people and I miss working with my friends. I do not miss the mess.

Modern slavery. happened at my old Co op job, I was TUPE’d out of a contract. The Indian workers are imported to here to “study” but work for below minimum wage and work 7 days a week and they’ll all share a house. All for them to send majority of their money back to family.

@EastMidRailway Good afternoon - can you explain why your system booked me such a short connection ? Inbound train to Shrewsbury was delayed so I missed the 17.30 I will now miss my onward train from Birmingham too :-(

@CrossCountryUK Hi do you have "praise" schemes ? if so, can I commend the Train Manager on the 08.07 Nottingham-Cardiff service? He joined @ Birmingham and his communication of two tricky delays has been top class. He is also very smartly dressed which makes a change for XC 🙂

@EMASNHSTrust Belated thanks to the crew who attended me on Saturday night (28th) when I was acutely ill and took me to A&E. Sadly didn't catch their names ( I was a bit "out of it" ! ) but a Beechdale crew circa 8.15pm. 10 minute response was fantastic !
