@DiabetesScot @neilcgray curious to know what's being done about #T1D being unable to access #insulin in Scotland & UK @DiabetesUK? The #Humalog shortage is a growing problem & no doubt a rise in #Novorapid usage (@NHS advice to move to this) will cause a shortage too. #GBDoc

@ditzydiabetic @GbdocTChost @GBDocInfo My pump clinic has switched me to Trurapi vials instead of Humalog. Told I couldn’t have a prescription for Humalog cartridges to fill pump as there was a risk of the cartridge glass breaking

Been told today official NHS Advice isn't to fill pump cartridge from pen cartridge. But, if like me, you want to continue using Humalog, and want to use a pen cartridge, here's a handy video someone sent me ⤵️ #humalog #insulin #T1D #GBDoc m.youtube.com/watch?si=xORpx…

If it's a new humalog cartridge, you'll need to get rid of the air as there is not enough space for the humalog cartridge to take this. Then connect as you would using a vial, draw in the insulin. It may be a bit stiff to begin with

@ditzydiabetic @GBDocInfo @ypsomed @GbdocTChost Hi due to the shortage my DSN switched me from humolog to nova rapid for the Medtronic pump. Maybe worth phoning to see if other insulins are compatible for you.

Your #HCL is only as good as the sensor. And #Libre3 @FreeStyleDiabet big downfall over @dexcom is that you can't calibrate. Second sensor in a row that's reading wrong and BG / my #mentalhealth pays the price. #diabetestech #wearenotwaiting #gbdoc
