From the Diverg team, We want to share an important update. Due to a combination of family and personal matters, along with limitations in available resources, both Fennq and Joey will be stepping away from Diverg for the time being. This has not been an easy decision, but it is one we need to make given our current circumstances. We want to sincerely thank everyone who has supported us throughout this journey. From our early users to those who provided feedback, opportunities, and trust in what we were building, we are incredibly grateful. Diverg has always been something we believed in, and while we are unable to continue working on it right now, we may look to return to the product in the future if circumstances allow. For now, we will be stepping back. Thank you again to everyone who has been part of this.

Introducing Diverg Obscura. A small unit within Diverg made up of four individuals focused on understanding how certain DPRK or alike threat actors attempt to gain access to crypto based companies. Their work is centered around infiltrating these DPRK groups, using more sophisticated methods to draw out the identities of these actors and better understand how they operate in real environments. The focus is not just on who they are, but how they move. How initial contact is made, what signals are given off early, what tools or approaches are used, and how these attempts evolve over time into something more serious. A large part of this comes from observing behaviour in real scenarios, rather than relying on assumptions or past reports. This allows Obscura to build a clearer picture of how these groups actually function today, not just historically. The main goal is to expose how, when, and what these threat actors use, along with the methods they rely on for infiltration. That information is then relayed back publicly in a way that companies can actually use, helping them understand where they are most exposed and what to look out for before it becomes a problem. Most teams only see the result of an attack. Obscura is focused on everything that happens before that point. More soon.

Diverg is building Diverg Open: security and investigation software for teams that ship fast, especially in crypto, where the hard part is not “running a scan” but knowing what to trust. The product combines automated coverage with evidence-forward outputs, strict modes that still mean something when they fire red, and workflows that respect real operator time (dashboard, API, extension). We are intentionally boring about blind spots: where heuristics end, where third-party hosts create visibility gaps, and where human review is still required. This round is sized to do two things well: hire so we stop trading speed against quality, and market in a steady, credible way (content, events, partnerships, founder-led pilots), not a vanity ad sprint before retention is solid. The structure and disclosure posture here were shaped with input from investors and advisors we trust. We are treating this as public accountability from day one: ship, explain tradeoffs, measure outcomes, repeat. In the last few weeks, we have seen at least 17 companies within the Solana ecosystem impacted by incidents involving stolen funds. These have ranged from social engineering and malicious attacks to malware and minting exploits. The total value affected exceeds approximately $300M, with a significant portion of these funds currently unrecoverable. Diverg is building on-chain security and investigation tools that companies can use at their discretion, whether independently through our public platform or with direct support from our team. Our goal is to reduce the likelihood of these incidents occurring by providing faster detection, clearer insights, and more actionable intelligence. We are focused on helping teams better understand risk, respond to threats more effectively, and strengthen their overall security posture. As the ecosystem continues to grow, the need for accessible, reliable, and real-time security tooling becomes increasingly critical, and that is where Diverg aims to contribute.
