If AI writes better code in 2 years, code stops being the moat. *My backup plan isn't leaving dev — it's moving up the stack:* - *Own the problem, not the syntax*: AI can ship functions. It can't own user pain, negotiate tradeoffs, or decide _what_ should exist. Become the person who turns messy human needs into clean specs. - *Get good at systems thinking*: Debugging production, scaling costs, security, compliance, weird edge cases. AI will write the happy path. Humans handle when reality punches back. - *Double down on taste + judgment*: Code is becoming cheap. Direction is expensive. Knowing which 20% to build, what to ignore, and why — that’s the new senior skill. - *Talk to humans*: Product, design, sales, customers. AI won’t sit in a room and convince a skeptical PM to kill their pet feature. Communication compounds. The devs who lose are the ones whose only skill was typing fast. The devs who win will use AI like a senior eng uses a junior — 10x leverage, but you still drive. So the backup plan is: *don’t compete with AI on code. Make it compete for you.* What’s yours looking like?

A major problem with political support among many Nigerian youths is that politics often becomes identity, entertainment, or online fanbase culture instead of issue based accountability. Instead of asking Obi to stay back and build stronger alliances, some people are already threatening to move to NDC the moment things don’t go their way. Politics is not supposed to be a fanbase war. It should be about strategy, unity, and what is best for Nigerians.

It is genuinely insane that Anthropic will bill you differently if you mention certain words in your prompt or have certain files in your codebase
Om Patel@om_patel5

THIS GUY LOST $200 IN ONE DAY BECAUSE THE STRING "HERMES.md" WAS IN HIS GIT COMMITS HERMES.md is a real convention used in AI agent projects. it's a system prompt specification file. not some obscure edge case he's on claude max 20x at $200 a month. yesterday claude code hit him with "you're out of extra usage" out of nowhere his dashboard showed 13% weekly usage. 0% current session. 86% of his plan was sitting there untouched but $200.98 in extra usage already burned through what should have been covered by his subscription he tried logout & login, different models, fresh installs and nothing worked anthropic support sent the ai bot (four rounds of the same scripted response). eventually they just gave up on him so he started binary searching repos and commits manually on his own time until he found the trigger the string "HERMES.md" in a recent git commit message uppercase, with the .md extension, anywhere in your commit history that's it claude code includes recent commits in its system prompt and something server side flags HERMES.md and quietly routes you off your max plan onto API rate billing > AGENTS.md? fine > README.md? fine > HERMES without .md? fine > lowercase hermes.md? fine > uppercase HERMES.md? you're getting charged API rates he reported it. anthropic support acknowledged the bug three times, called it an "authentication routing issue", thanked him for finding it then refused to refund the $200 so the man pays $200 a month for max, lost another $200 to a billing bug they confirmed, did anthropic's QA work for free on his weekend, and got a "thank you for your patience" in return check your commit history before claude code quietly drains your account too

And you think you understand politics by "grok-checking" some claim on Twitter or some podcast bro?

🦔A researcher invented a fake eye condition called bixonimania, uploaded two obviously fraudulent papers about it to an academic server, and watched major AI systems present it as real medicine within weeks. The fake papers thanked Starfleet Academy, cited funding from the Professor Sideshow Bob Foundation and the University of Fellowship of the Ring, and stated mid-paper that the entire thing was made up. Google's Gemini told users it was caused by blue light. Perplexity cited its prevalence at one in 90,000 people. ChatGPT advised users whether their symptoms matched. The fake research was then cited in a peer-reviewed journal that only retracted it after Nature contacted the publisher. My Take The researcher made the papers as obviously fake as possible on purpose. The AI systems didn't catch it. Neither did the human researchers who cited it in real journals, which means people are feeding AI-generated references into their work without reading what they're actually citing. I've covered the FDA using AI for drug review, the NYC hospital CEO ready to replace radiologists, and ChatGPT Health launching this year. All of that is happening in the same environment where a condition funded by a Simpsons character and endorsed by the crew of the Enterprise was being presented as emerging medical consensus. The people making these deployment decisions seem to believe the pipeline from research to AI to patient is more supervised than it actually is. This experiment suggests it isn't supervised much at all. Hedgie🤗 nature.com/articles/d4158…

GeoPolitics@Shield4Freedom

@piersmorgan You are a Trump hater and you hate him whatever he is doing. Anyway, we blockade it to press the Iranian Regime to open it. Understand? Maybe not, due to the fact that you are a such low IQ lowlife! Fuck Piers Morgan! A radical leftist idiot,

Looks like @claudeai is giving us an Easter 🐇 gift, yes you read that well. Anthropic (the company behind Claude Code, whose source code recently got leaked on @github) is offering a one-time credit for extra usage to each paid user for 90 days.
