Had a great time at #ASB2025 earlier this month. Happy to meet with so many people at different stages in their career.
Thanks to @AmSocBiomech for organizing the event and @MIOBLab for the constant support!

@_mckenziew @LindseyLepley @riannps @stevenag04 @ORBLab_umich Interesting finding. How was quad volume measured?
English

And the final dissertation paper is out! A labor of love (aren’t they all…). We investigated cartilage composition after ACLR using a single graft type (BPTB). Which joint was more affected?! 👀 @LindseyLepley @riannps @stevenag04 @ORBLab_umich pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/40400186/

@brennapugliese @JOrthopRes Hi Brenna, Thanks for sharing. So, with age, Achilles get stiffer?
English

Age is a known risk factor for Achilles tendon injury! This study in @JOrthopRes showed age-related changes in healthy Achilles structure that may limit its capacity to store and transfer energy in older adults. Read it here 🔗 buff.ly/QwuxsOX #ORSSMC #TendonTuesday

@stevenag04 @Derek_Pamu @riannps I got slightly confused with the statistical result and the summary statement at the end of the abstract.
English

@stevenag04 @Derek_Pamu @riannps Hi, great study. Correct me if I am wrong, but does the finding says that ACLR limb shows increased reliance on ankle and hip compared to the knee while movement?
English

Check out our recent paper looking at lower limb inter-joint coordination and total support moments during walking in those with & w/o ACLR! This was a fun and interesting new analysis to learn - give it a read below!

@lexfridman @narendramodi If possible, ask him about the ongoing political situations in India’s neighboring countries, specially in Bangladesh, his stance behind providing political asylum to the ex Bangladeshi Prime Minister back in August. Would be interesting to hear.
English

I will be doing a podcast with Narendra Modi (@narendramodi), Prime Minister of India, at the end of February.
I've never been to India, so I'm excited to finally visit and experience many facets of its vibrant, historic culture and its amazing people as fully as I can.

@ChunHaoPHD Interesting course. Is it possible to share the course content? Just wanted to have an idea of the topics that are going to be covered.

@divyapradipub @DrDavid_Rhodes Deceleration = rapid change of velocity 💨 this is key for rapid changes of direction = ability to generate space and create more time for technical actions / goal scoring opportunities
English

Effect off high-intensity accelerations and decelerations on match performance of an elite English League Two football team ⚽️..
Was great to contribute to this one led by @DrDavid_Rhodes 👏

That’s been my response to anyone asking if a PhD is worth it. You ought to view it as an investment and absorb as much knowledge/technique as possible, like a sponge, and hope for the compound interest and a good payoff.
Kritika Prakash@kritipraks
Doing a PhD is a huge investment in yourself. You'll know if it's for you. The pursuit of knowledge and the ability to contribute to a field make you powerful. Don't let anyone put that spark out.
