What is the shahada worth if it stops at the American base gate? What is Muslim brotherhood worth if it disappears the moment Washington makes a phone call? What is all this talk of unity worth when the only unity that actually materializes is a coalition of silence around Palestine? Iran’s steadfastness has exposed not just political weakness, but theological bankruptcy. Because the issue is no longer abstract. People are being slaughtered. The aggressor is known. The sponsors are known. The enablers are known. And still many rulers choose the side of comfort. So yes, the question becomes unavoidable: What kind of Islam remains once courage is removed from it?

For decades, peer review has been treated as the gold standard of scientific validation. Yet many scientists know the reality: the system is far from perfect. Peer review is broken and sometimes even corrupted. The process can be slow, inconsistent, and vulnerable to bias. Reviewers are sometimes asked to judge work outside their true expertise. In other cases, they may be evaluating ideas that challenge the very paradigm in which they were trained. And occasionally, reviewers are simply competitors. Ironically, the most prestigious journals can also be the most conservative. Truly new ideas are often met with skepticism, while safer work that fits the current narrative moves more easily through the system. Increasingly, papers are judged less by the originality of the idea and more by the volume of data, the sophistication of statistics, and the beauty of the figures. Science risks becoming data-rich but idea-poor. But there is an important reality to remember: journals do not ultimately decide the impact of scientific work. Impact is decided later, by the community. By the scientists who read it, test it, debate it, and cite it. In the end, citations and ideas determine the legacy of a paper, not the impact factor of the journal that first published it. Science has always advanced by questioning assumptions. Perhaps it is time we also question the system that filters scientific ideas.

Iran has drawn blood from the United States, is pummeling Israel, and wiping out trillions of dollars of US military hardware, Gulf assets and revenue. They are slowing the global economy, with clear ability to grind it to a halt. And we're just on Day 5, using the old Iranian missile and drone stockpiles. Their newer technology hasn't yet been unveiled. When they do, perhaps there will be nothing left of America's presence in the region. I'm not posting this to prove how powerful Iran is, but to show how honorable, restrained, and rational they are. Unlike the US and Israel, they never acted in haste. They obviously had the power to cause great destruction and harm, but they acted with restraint, negotiating in good faith, making hard sacrifices to avoid war, despite the US reneging on earlier agreements and crippling their economy with sanctions. The day before the US and Israel launched yet another unprovoked attack on them, weeks after the US and Israel tried to foment a color revolution to topple their government, the Iranian leadership acted with grace, cooperation, and prudence, agreeing to Trump's central demand that they never seek nuclear weapons—all in an effort to avoid this madness. But here we are. And all the world is Iran.

I unreservedly condemn the killing of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. This act places the Middle East on the edge of grave and sustained instability. I extend my condolences to the Islamic Republic of Iran and to the Iranian people at this profoundly difficult moment. Those who greet his death with approval should recognise the consequences of such actions. Existential threats seldom yield predictable reactions. The deliberate targeting of a head of state sets a dangerous precedent and weakens the norms and principles that underpin the international order. At the same time, I urge the Iranian authorities to respond with the utmost restraint. Malaysia aligns itself with the statements issued by concerned countries calling on all parties to step back from further escalation. My foremost concern remains the welfare and safety of Malaysians in Iran, the Gulf States and the wider Middle East. To all Malaysians in the affected region, your Government is taking every possible measure to ensure your protection. Our Missions have been given the full mandate and resources to assist you. The Government will urgently evaluate the economic repercussions of the conflict, including risks to regional airspace and to freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz. Malaysia's trade and energy security are directly implicated, and we will act as necessary to safeguard our national interests. Malaysia calls for an immediate ceasefire, the protection of civilians and a return to serious dialogue. This crisis cannot be resolved by force. It requires diplomacy, restraint and political will. Who believed that "if they only released the hostages"? Who believed in the ceasefire? After killing 500+ people in about 3 months, Israel- armed and supported by the US - continues its genocide in Gaza undisturbed. Don't let it become the new normal. Stand up against genocide!

Tujuannya: Banda Aceh. Tawa kami pecah. Tawa terdengar pahit tapi kejujurannya nyata hanya berharap pahala. #ethadisaputra #majalahforumkeadilan #tsunamiaceh #operasikemanusiaan #hercules #susiair #dahlaniskan #hukumdanlogistik #militersipil #bencanaindonesia

Absolutely extraordinary exchange between Israel and China 👇 I've never seen such a heated exchange come out of top-level forum in China (this is from the 12th Beijing Xiangshan Forum that started yesterday), this normally never happens. The guy speaking is Yan Xuetong, the dean of the Institute of International Relations at Tsinghua University, the most prestigious university in China. Speaking for Israel is a military officer apparently called Elad Shoshan. Yan Xuetong truly doesn't hold back: - When the Israeli officer tries to bullshit him around how Israel supposedly protects civilians in Gaza, he replies: "You killed more than 70,000 civilians!... The fact is not decided by you... It is not decided by your government. Your government has no legitimacy or the right to decide or defend what is fact" - And when told that the war will end when Hamas release hostages he replies: "No, this kind of propaganda have too many. No one believe it! Too many! Too much! No one believe it, except a few Israelis"

I don’t know what to say anymore. As doctors, we can’t stop a genocide and we can’t end a famine. We provided a diagnosis - genocide. We provided a prescription to end the genocide - for Canada to end its complicity and direct involvement in Israel’s crimes now.
