Are you talking about Starlink satellite terminals? Elon did donate some of those at the beginning of the war but quit doing so in 2022. Most of the Starlink terminals in Ukraine were paid for by the US, UK, and Poland - one Pentagon contract alone was for $537 million - so he's definitely making money on the deal, even though he's restricting how they can be used. So yes, he does get some credit for his initial donation to Ukraine but, in typical Elon fashion, he quickly overshadowed that act of altruism with his usual greed and hubris.
